Lignum Suites Chania

Great boutique hotel in the center of the Old town of Chania. Few minutes walk for the port. Taverns , cafes, shops are 1 minute walk from the hotel. Very very clean rooms. Great decoration. Totally recomented.

Perfect location, right by the Harbour and old Town, only a 15 min walk to tbe beach ad well. Beautiful modern rooms, loved the bathroom especially and the shower was just amazing! The beds were sooo comfy, way better than a hotel! The rooftop is also a really nice touch, especially at night. Stefanos is sooo lovely and kind. Always around when you need him, and always smiling and happy to help. I needed a shower cap and couldn't find any in the supermarkets so he went and got some for me :'). Hala was really lovely too. So down to earth and easy to speak to, gave us all the good recommendations! :) I will definitely be going back Chania and will only be staying at the lignum Suites. Thank you for Stefanos and Hala for making my trip memorable; and congratulations on the wedding Srefanos! 🥳

Total Disappointment!! 1)Upon our arrival, we found out that the hotel does not have its own parking space for our car, so we spent 20 minutes until we found one, 15 minutes away from the accommodation! 2) Upon check in, the receptionist showed us the room, which was literally located in the BASEMENT!!! Not stated on the description of the room. We spend €120 per night to be located in the basement? Really? The room was exactly opposite from the reception which means staff can hear anything we do, no privacy at all! 3) The management wasn't helpful at all, only offered a payable upgrade for the last two days of our stay! (Not even a free upgrade after such a disappointment) 4) After entering the room, we couldn't find any towels. Another disappointment 5) The first night was a disaster! Because the room is actually a basement, you can hear all the noice from the above rooms! 6) In order to have your breakfast, you need to walk at the port which is another inconvenience! Definitely do not recommend the Lignum suites to any visitor! Absolutely a waste of money.

One of the best hospitality experiences we've ever had! Excellent rooms which we have visited many times, with attention to the smallest detail and very clean! From our very first visit we felt at home. Beautiful building in a central part of the old town of Chania, next to all the shops that you can reach on foot, it is one of the best, if not the best and most value for money option, given the affordable prices. The staff was super friendly and informative on what places to visit and what to do to have an unforgettable vacation. A great stay in all respects which I highly recommend and will stay again.
