The beach in front of the hotel is great. You can go downstairs and swim directly. The sea water is clean. The room is also very large. There are many sea view restaurants around. It is very lively. I will come again next time. It is about 900 meters to the central bus station, which goes to the marina, Pink Beach and Heraklion.

The Danaos is advertised as a two-star hotel, which made us frown a bit at first sight. However, we were positively surprised. The plan was just to have some place to stay while we do the Samaria Gorge and a full day boat trip, i.e. we thought we would really only spend two short nights there. However, the location of the hotel is fantastic, right in front of a (very crowded) beach. However, it totally feels like vacation, and gave us good vibes. Very close there are also restaurants with the usual Greek fare, solid food for good prices. The rooms are basic, but good enough if you do not necessarily always need 4* or 5* standard. I would easily give it 3*. The same goes for the breakfast. Considering the price, the hotel is absolutely worth it.

For out holiday in Crete we decided tò stay at Danaos Hotel and we couldn't have made a Better choice! The hotel's position was enviable, right by the Sea and at a walking distante from the centre of the city. The rooms were clean and well organized, with every confort One night Need. The desk ladies were Amazing, in particular we would like to thanks Sue, for her kindness and great advice. Over all we strongly recommend

Hotel gestione familiare in pozione ottimale a Chania. Fronte mare e a 10 min a piedi dal centro. Comodo parcheggio privato nelle vicinanze. Camera dotata di tutto il necessario, asciugacapelli, terrazzino, mollette per il bucato, filo per stendere, letti e cuscini comodi, aria condizionata. Possibilità di colazione. Molto buona e abbondante, la signora delle colazioni molto simpatica e gentile. Personale gentile, attento, pronto ad aiutare. Ci siamo trovati benissimo! Possibilità di last check out a prezzo onesto. Ombrelloni convenzionati per la spiaggia di fonte euro 10. Consigliatissimo!

Petit hôtel très sympathique dans lequel nous avons occupé des chambres avec vue mer. Le top ! Les chambres ne sont pas très grandes mais largement suffisantes. La salle de bain est minimaliste mais surtout n'oubliez pas de laisser la ventil en route sinon merci les odeurs. Il aurait été appréciable d'avoir une bouilloire en plus du frigo très apprécié. Attention les cloisons ne sont pas épaisses Je conseille vivement cet hôtel avec un patron très sympathique et accueillant

This is a basic hotel, but clean and comfy. Amazing to get a place right on the most beautiful beach! You also save €5 on beach umbrella & chairs because you stay here. Tons of restaurants here and a 10-15min walk along the water to get to old toqn. We didnt have any problems. WIFI is slow in rooms but works amazing on the beach. Amazing place to stay for the money!
