Family friendly resort with 24 hour security. Fully stocked kitchen and includes a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. All staff were friendly and helpful. Our cabin was clean but the bed linens and pillows probably need an upgrade. We went and purchased 2 new pillows for our stay.

This ain't a resort And it's damn sure not a wilderness. Just a bunch of drugged up meth heads masquerading around in in trailer park Trying to act like a resort. Just a bunch of trailer trash All night long golf carts screaming up and down the roads making all kinds of racquet. Buildings in disrepair. Unkempt lawns Trash heap trailer Gen Mgr dismissed any concerns and laughs in your face. Don't waste your money. Stay at a super 8 instead

The maintenance, cleanliness, lighting, furniture, and pillows are all problems. The dishwasher ran but did not clean the dishes, so all of them had to be washed by hand. The faucet in the primary bathroom spun around, and it was difficult to adjust the temperature. It also had a significant leak. The cabin had dead bugs that had clearly been there a while, and there were cobwebs throughout the entire space. The lighting was so poor that it was difficult to read, and I had to use a flashlight to even see the washer and dryer. The furniture is outdated, which makes it uncomfortable to sit on. The mattresses are very lumpy and need to be replaced. And the pillows are as hard as rocks and need to be replaced.

I love this place. Yes, it's a little odd...basically a huge trailer park with a bunch of cabins for rent. I really like the little cabins with the hot tubs by the lake. Really cute, and well maintaned. Lots to do...indoor/outdoor pools, indoor basketball court, tennis, pickleball, a great little escape room, mini golf (being fixed up right now), hiking trails, boat rentals, and two disc golf courses, one of which is brand new. Yes, this isn't a 5 star resort, but it doesn't pretend to be. It's a great place to spend a few days, especially being a short ride from the DC area. We'll be back!

A good place to stay if you are interested in visiting the battlefields and historic homes. Not so good for DC area.

The cabin was a two bedroom. One room had two twin beds on the main floor, and the second bedroom was a queen bed on the second floor. I did not like that the main entrance into the cabin took you into the main floor bedroom. There were two bedrooms. One on the main floor and the upstairs bedroom had it's own ensuite bathroom. We loved that the cabin, number 5, was right on the lake. The cabins are very close to each other and when other families are that close there is a lot of noise from one cabin to another. The living room was comfortable and the eating area was spacious. The kitchen was small and difficult for more than one person to be there are one time. The cabinet door next to the microwave opened the wrong way which made it difficult to take dishes in and out. There was plenty of dishes and glasses but I was disappointed in the cookware. I always bring some from home that I know I will use and I am glad that I did. The knives are awful and again I always bring my own knives because I have learned to expect bad knives at timeshares. The provided all linens, which was appreciated and the bathrooms were spacious. We had a washer and dryer in the bedroom that had twin beds. Not ideal that having them was appreciated. There was a gas fireplace, and we appreciated not having to purchase wood. The best part about this timeshare was the location. It is very close to Fredericksburg and drivable to DC. There is a train in Fredericksburg that I assume would also take you into DC, which we might consider in the future. The cabin could use some updates but was comfortable. We did not use the facilities so I can't address that. At check-in everyone was very helpful and friendly. The house does not hide noise. You can definitely here people upstairs walking around.
