I come to Chamonix every year because I want to buy some clothes before returning to my country, so I come down the mountain to stay for one night. It is quite far from the center of the town, but Chamonix is full of scenery and you can climb rocks nearby.

The accommodation is a bit old, and there is no lift. We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom on the second floor, and we would like to mention that the bathroom had a bathtub in which it was impossible to stand up (we hit our heads on the ceiling). Finally, everything is self-service (check-in, check-out, breakfast...), for better and for worse. We found it quite expensive for what it offered.

Self check-in. There is a gap in the door so you can hear everything outside and on the stairs. The windows are hard to lock. One of the mattresses had no cushioning at all.
