Fabulous hotel , staff , and service ! We drove to this beautiful town for my birthday . The minute we arrived, we were greeted with kindness and hospitality. Our travel agent had given them a heads up that it was my birthday , so everyone wished me a warm birthday . The lovely reception staff was so polite and accommodating to these two Americans . The hotel itself is decorated with style and elegance. There is a charming library filled with games and books . Several guests were drinking wine , playing chess after dinner . The outside garden dining is magnificent as it framed with the beautiful landscape of the French Alps snow capped on one side , green on the other . The bread served was fresh and didn’t need olive oil or butter . The waitstaff couldn’t have been more friendly . The gym was new and standard for European hotels - small by American standards . But it was clean . Largest free weight was @ 22lbs . The sauna and steam rooms were immaculate and clean . The pool is great for taking a dip after a long day of hiking . The staff went above and beyond making my birthday quite special . Thanks to everyone! We would definitely recommend this lovely hotel to anyone traveling to Chamonix. Americans are definitely welcome .

I don’t know why the manager was so rude to us when we asked to change rooms but he couldn’t have been more unkind. There are much nicer hotels in this area that are much friendlier. The food is just OK nothing special. Easily I forget about Hotel. Skip

Bruyant.

This is among the best hotels I have stayed at anywhere in the world. It's small, 40 or so rooms, with impeccable service, facilities, and food. We were upgraded to a larger room when we checked in, which was a nice surprise. Its restaurant Matafan was perhaps the nicest of the ones we ate at, more so if you factor in the outdoor setting with mountain views and the refined service. Breakfast was amazing. All the options one would want and then some. The hotel had a wonderful pool, a spa, a wonderful bar and library where we watched the closing ceremony of the Olympics. Every employee from the concierge to the front desk (Arnaud and Camilla), Flo who drove us to our hikes and went to the ticket desk at Aiguille du Midi (cable cars) on our last morning to make sure we could experience the views from the top of the mountain range. We would have really missed out had we not gone on that excursion. I can only imagine how much effort goes into pulling this off. If there is one phrase to describe this hotel, I would say Refined Elegance.

This hotel was a fantastic start to our Tour du Mont Blanc. The hotel has a wonderful, supportive staff, fantastic breakfast buffet, amazing dinner in the restaurant, and our first taste of Genepi! We highly recommend this property!!!!!!

This is a small boutique hotel that offers spectacular views of the alps. The service is impeccable. Many thanks to the whole staff for their many kindnesses. Marieke the concierge is the best: no request goes unanswered. The balcony rooms offer unparalleled views of the Alps and are quite spacious.. The bar staff are great. Many thanks Rasheen for your excellent and genial service. BUT: There is a road just behind the hotel with very busy traffic. We live in a city but we still found it disturbing. You must leave the balcony doors open in the summer; otherwise, you'd be sweltering, and you will hear traffic all night. On our last night, a Saturday, a dozen or so young people sat on a wall between the hotel and street drinking and carousing until 3am. Barking dogs. We hardly slept the whole time we were there. The worst is that the place is overrun with babies and children under 5. This is a small 5 star boutique hotel . it should be billed as a family venue. We tried to spend time in the lovely garden area, the only public space in the summer, and were constantly beset by crying babies and children running around. If you are looking for a relaxing venue in nature, this, alas, is not it. Breakfast offers no table service and the buffet is often quite crowded and out of things. The food is subpar. Any decent 5 star hotel has a good club sandwich but not this one. The croque monsieur was meh.The terrine barely edible: a freezing cold mass of fat. Ugh. Poor wine menu. It could be a great place, and was when we were there 15 years ago, but now, not. If you have babies and small children, you'll be welcome.

First some context: We are benchmarking our review based on stays at some of the premier properties around the world; Claridges in London, Peninsula in Hong Kong, Beau Rivage in Geneva. The Mont Blanc is easily in this category. Room: Met our expectations: Extraordinarily clean - good smellies - comfortable bed Food: Exceeded our expectations: Breakfast was plentiful and of great variety. Dinner at the hotel was among the best meals we have ever had. Great presentation and taste. Service Far exceeded our expectations: This is where MB really shines. From before our arrival, extremely responsive with emails. The staff was incredibly gracious and helpful. No request too large or small. A special call out to: Arnaud Cecile Marieke Enzo Fleurial These folks(along with housekeeping and the entire staff) are among the best we have ever encountered. Just book here, you will not be sorry!
