Brandywine River Hotel Reviews

26 may 24 1536 GMT (re Brandywine Room # 212 May 24 2024) I was never supplied (either by email or by text) with the code to get through the the front door and to then access my room. That's bizarre. There was no small complimentary tube of toothpaste. The AirCo was set to "Eco": which meant that it cycled on-and-on and off thoughout the night with a loud rumbling each time. The AirCo is supposed to be "white noise" in the background - runnnig constantly in the background. The breakfast was amateurish.

Beautiful place to stay, rooms are quaint and charming... We had the best bed out of all the hotels we have stayed at in the past. Hotel looks redone and striving to be a great hotel. Though does need a place to get bottled drinks at night with out having to leave the property.

Booked the hotel specially for their inform Jacuzzi facilities. The Jacuzzi was broken unusable. Hotel staff and management unreachable. Customer service seems incapable of returning calls or doing the right thing as in reimbursing the price difference between a regular room and the 'special Jacuzzi suites'. Renter beware, you are on your own at this hotel

Great place to stay! Clean, comfortable room, friendly staff (Troy at front desk is great!), nice selection of breakfast items, convenient to restaurants, Longwood Gardens and Brandywine Museum of Art. Enjoyed dinners nearby at Brandywine Prime and Chadds Ford Tavern.

The hotel is charming and located in the midst of attractions. We enjoyed very much our experience of attentive service and very clean rooms and facilities at the hotel. We will stay again when we return to the Brandywine River area or to Longwood Garden.

The customer service is superb and the room was spacious and lovely. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and so helpful! Lovely hotel. Will definitely return when in the area and have recommended it to family and friends. Close to Longwood Gardens.

Staff were very accommodating and kind. Easiest check in process ever! Cafe breakfast perfect. Nice break from commercial hotels. Perfect location for out 1 day trip to Chaddsford winery and Longwood gardens. I would definitely stay here in the future.

Love staying at the Brandywine River Inn. We have been here many times while visiting relatives in the area. Very comfortable beds and very clean. Beautiful location with much history. Continental breakfast is ok but adding a hot item would be nice.

On check in we were told towels were changed and beds were only made on the last day of our stay. So they expected us to live for the three days we were there with unmade beds? They are understaffed and it was frequently hard to find anyone of their employees. Calls to the front desk frequently went unanswered. I shouldn't have to wander around the hotel looking for someone. Breakfast was barely tolerable and frankly if I knew of a cafe nearby I would not have eaten there. I asked for a wake up call and was told they did not do them because they didn't have the phone extensions of all the rooms. Fortunately, past experience has taught me to always take a travel alarm clock. No Pool, and as for amenities I cannot think of any. There was a phone but not even a scrap of paper to write notes on. Many good hotels have literature about area restaurants, amenities and attractions as well as information about the hotel but nothing at this one.The operators of this hotel don't seem to know what they are doing. Three stars? I have stayed at some three star hotels and frankly big changes would be required to justify a three star rating for this establishment! No way more like 1 star!!!!

I really like this small, boutique hotel. This was our second stay here and we will be sure to come back. It's quiet and convenient to family, friends, Longwood, and the shore. Chadsford Winery is also a very nice place to visit in chadds ford .

Everything was perfect, a quaint little place. Breakfast was Continental, no eggs or sausage except for hard-boiled. Also no peanut butter. It met my two main criteria, clean and price right. Mexican place across the street was fantastic.

We spent a weekend in the Brandywine River Area to visit Longwood and other museums in the area. We loved staying at the Brandywine River hotel. It was not fancy, but very clean, the front desk was helpful and the breakfast was wonderful in a cheery setting. I have stayed at other hotels in the area and I would choose this over them for the value and convenience. We plan to return.

A charming place, close to much Northern Delaware and PA has to offer! Secure parking, very clean room and common areas, and helpful staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. If I had any negative feedback, it would be the pillows were a but lumpy and the rooms need an updated decor refresh. I would a DEFINITELY stay here again and recommend to others!
