Hotel Pura Chacala

My husband and I were repeat customers at this wonderful place. Eden, Jerry, Cris and all the staff always make us feel at home. An easy stroll to the beach and the many beachside restaurants. A very swimmable ocean. My favorite part is the rooftop terrace. I spent much of my time up there enjoying the comfortable seating and beautiful wood tables. There are several villas to choose from. Studio, one bedroom and two bedroom. They all come with a private bath and small kitchen. Some with private patios. We have already booked again for next year.

We stayed in villa 9 which is a nice sized studio. It has a very nice, well equipped kitchen and a very good sized bathroom and shower. Very nicely decorated. No elevator so be prepared to climb stairs but who doesn’t need a little exercise every day. It had great views of the ocean from the room and blackout curtains for that early morning sun and the rooftop is very nice with gorgeous views as well. There’s a pool on the ground level which my husband enjoyed and it’s just a short few blocks away to get to the beach. All in all, we would definitely stay there again. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They even have a taxi that will pick you up and take you back to whatever town you need. Just ask the hosts to set that up for you. The place is located up a ways on the main road that comes into town. We had a lovely time in chacala but be prepared to climb cobble stone hills. 😃

Great Spot We were here for 5 days. It was a return trip so we knew what to expect. The accommodations are comfortable and the common areas are lovely. The hotel is a couple of blocks from the beach but an easy walk.

We were in the top floor #9 and it is perfect. Lovely view of the bay! The decor is both Mexican and modern. The bed was very comfortable and we loved having a kitchen and utensilios. It was great being above the town and walking down to breakfast and the beach. We were here for 5 nights of total relaxation and achieved it 100 %. Owners are so helpful and friendly. The rooftop terrace is a dream. I hope we can come back to Chacala.
