Fantastic little "chateau" in the middle of nowhere. A bit hard to find as the place is not marked well. Big structure on the corner for those who book in the future. We always check multiple sites to be sure we're getting what's advertised. This is certainly a BnB and not a hotel. Owners are absolutely delightful and fun. Michael and Tasha are 5-star hosts and love to entertain. This is truly settling into the French countryside. There is no air conditioning in the rooms as advertised. The 'restaurant' is a personal kitchen where the hosts make the food buffet-style. Everything is laid-back and comfortable if staying for more than one night. Tasha is super accommodating and loves to engage about all aspects of life, which made our time enjoyable. The rooms are well appointed. Make note of the romantic room with 2-beds, one bed is about 5'-10" from headboard to baseboard. If two taller people are traveling, pick the other room with the king-size bed. Breakfast was very nice and typical French with bread, cheese, meat, jams, and eggs on request. If the objective is to get out of the big city and relax for a few days...this is great. If wanting to spend time in a little French village and walk around, head 20 minutes to Semur-en-Auxois, where we had the most wonderful evening.

Tout était absolument parfait. De l’accueil, où l’on avait l’impression d’être des amis de longues date, aux chambres chaleureuses et si bien décorées décorées, l’espace commun très agréable et avec toutes les commodites, piscine très grande avec sa douche attenante, et les chevaux très câlins. Petit déjeuner super copieux et très variés. On y était si bien qu’on n’a profité de la table d’hôte ou l’on a délicieusement dîné ! Nous sommes revenus avec l’impression d’être restés une semaine.

L’endroit est isolé, un série de grands corps de ferme rénovés avec goût, en pleine campagne. Les chambres sont belles, avec une décoration contemporaine soignée. Elles donnent sur un espace commun, donc c’est un peu bruyant le matin, ne comptez pas faire grasse mâtinée. Mais c’est cher, 130 euros la nuit. Idem pour le diner, 25 euros pour quelques boulettes à la tomate et un sorbet de fromage blanc, nous avons trouvé cela un peu excessif. Le petit déjeuner à 15 euros est complet, délicieux, rien à redire.

Nous avions réservé dans cet établissement en partie pour la piscine couverte... qui s'est avérée fermée en février (ce que le propriétaire ne nous a jamais précisé au téléphone, malgré nos questions sur ce point). Le petit déjeuner est très cher pour la prestation (il faut faire son jus d'orange et son café soi même). La chambre familiale est agréable, et la maison très bien rénovée dans un cadre bucolique.

nous avons passé un excellent week-end en famille. nous avions réservé le loft et 3 chambres, très confortables, le tout super équipé avec une très belle décoration. Michel est un super hôte, il nous a fait faire des activités géniales et hors du commun (avion, calèche). Nous recommandons la maison de Souhey pour passer un super séjour.

Very helpful owner. Our motorcycle was allowed to stand in the shed. Nice evening meal, despite the fact that we only booked our stay for 5 pm in the evening. Large pool, perfect for doing my weekly laps. Fantastic breakfast, nothing is too much for the owner to please his guests.
