Thanda Manzi Country Hotel

Everything about the place was amazing the staff the food "a big thank you to the Chef" we also had a great picnic set up. Thanda Manzi deserves their flowers.

Disappointment and frustration with the treatment I received during my recent stay at Thanda Manzi. Despite my expectations of a comfortable and welcoming experience, I was subjected to unacceptable behavior from the hotel staff at night around 21h40 when I was sleeping. On 06April 2025, I arrived at the hotel and was initially greeted politely during check-in. However, as my stay progressed, I encountered several issues with the staff's attitude and behavior. Specifically, I was treated rudely and unprofessionally, which made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. The situation escalated at 21h40 when I was essentially "chased out" of the hotel by the staff member, who seemed more interested in rushing me out than in providing me with the service I had paid for. At 21h40 i was woken up with my wife and I was told I need to pay more a R1000 extra in order to sleep there because the discounted rate I received on ******* was too low. Something that should have been addressed at check-in or check-out. Despite, I booked via ******* where I get preferential rates as a frequent traveler member. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also unacceptable. So I ultimately was forced to leave the hotel same night. And hence means I only paid R2732.20 to spend few hours there. As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of service and respect from the hotel staff. Unfortunately, my experience at Thanda Manzi fell far short of my expectations.

Comfortable stay The stay was comfortable. The room lacked carpets/rugs and as such made it uncomfortable. Lack of minibar/fridge is also a concern. The dinner menu was extremely limited (only 6 options available).

I won this getaway, 2 years ago and for some reason i just could not get there I recently lost my dad and then my nephew - and i think this was used in perfect timing This was just what the doctor ordered, i needed the ME time, the food was amazing, the staff are so amazing and friendly Moses (trainee) - very friendly and so helpful I will definitely be back

I booked a private picnic for my partner's birthday and it was Amazing. The location is perfect.staff was friendly from security to the kitchen staff.highly recommend.
