Hyatt Place Chantilly Dulles South

Just a brief stay - late check in and early departure. But everything was in order and smooth. Check-in associate was very thorough and professional. Room was clean and functional. Would stay again

This hotel has an angry, combative front desk staff. The property has cut services while raising rates. They refuse to allow you to see current charges or pay for your stay the night before your departure. They lecture you when you merely ask if there is a way for the hotel to contact a taxi for you since the shuttle was eliminated. One employee slammed the phone down on me and hid as she refused to pick up the phone when I called back. The "Quiet Hours" signs are not enforced as loud,vulgar guests partied until 2 A.M. Hotel refuses to issue an apology and Corporate endorsed their slamming the phone down and not answering it while getting paid by Hyatt to do so. Avoid this property! If you must go, ask for Rose and the very nice young man. They are delightful!

Arrived mid afternoon following a 20 minute UBER from Washington Dulles airport . I was greeted by Adam at the front desk , he was courteous and gave me information about the hotel and thanked me for my loyalty. I was given a nice large room with a king sized bed with a nice lounge area . Room was clean and the air conditioning was a welcome relief from the hot temperatures outside. Fairly well equipped room although no extras like vanity kit , lotion , shaving kit or toothbrush etc . WiFi signal was good , shower was just right ( power and temperature) plus there was a non slip rubber mat provided. Food is available at the hotel, but I chose to use the petrol / gas station next to the hotel which is open 24hours and has hot and cold snacks . Five minutes walk from the hotel you will find a mini retail area with some restaurants, I used the Thai restaurant, there is also a Subway, Popeyes and a few others plus a 7 eleven. There are also some restaurants to the opposite side / direction to the mini retail area. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows and I slept well . There is a free breakfast but I did not try it . Everyone was friendly and welcoming during my brief stay , sound proofing in the room was good Thank you for a very pleasant stay and for giving me a slightly later check out.

So this hotel doesn’t have a shuttle despite being an airport hotel. Their phone line says they have a shuttle and there’s reviews here about the shuttle but I’m writing this review to share with othered there is no shuttle so don’t wait 30 minutes for one to show up like I did. It’s not coming. The lady who answered the phone was nice though and canceled my reservation for me so I could switch to a different location with a shuttle

One elevator was not working and the other was extremely slow. Requested a crib and only received a pack n play instead with a flat sheet, blanket and pillows to make a mattress to use for my 4 month old. Safe didn't work. Blocked rooms for a wedding was told there was a shuttle from airport to hotel and also could be used to be dropped off at near by locations. Only to find out 4 days before the wedding that the shuttle was no longer available and was discontinued in March. Only found out by accident when a wedding guests called to get more information about the shuttle and was told, they no longer offer this service.

I particularly liked the convenience of the buffet breakfast and the easy access to the microwave in the lobby. My room was also large and very nice.
