Halcyon Hot Springs Resort

Very nice hotsprings we had a great time!! Nice to have the four different temprature pools. We had 2 babies and the three is no change tables at all, and there was I tiny family change room is completely useless!! Very difficult to have a baby at this facility! Other than that is is very nice.

It was relaxing and enjoyable. We stayed for 1 night in an economy king cabin ( Arrowhead). Room was clean and comfortable. The biggest complaint was the very small, low toilet. No assistant bars for senior requirements. Small, short pillows. No decaf. coffee packets. A toaster would have been nice. A car necessary to walk to main resort and pools. Only a 1 way elevator to pools. $1 dollar required for locker. Lots of stairs in the cabin areas. Restaurant was expensive. No wi-fi available. Only wi-fi calling at resort.

The view is five-star, but pretty much everything else is lacking. The locker room reminded me of the YMCA, maybe worse. You need to pay a dollar for the lockers to secure your belongings, but if you want to shower after using the pools then you'll either need to leave your belongings unsecured or find a second dollar. Locker room looks like it gets cleaned once per day. Pool temperatures are variable - the lower pool wasn't much different from either of the two "hot" (i.e., warm) pools.

Disappointed in the amenities and conditions of the facilities. Just did a day trip, property is run down, womens washrooms were dirty, unkemped, many broken lockers and showers, no amenities such as shampoo. Needs a refresh and staff to care for the place.

Enquired the Hotel for the closest room to the Hot Spring. The Hotel replied Queen Cabin as opposed to King Cottage we stayed in 3 years ago. We were given Cabin #5. We're terribly disappointed to find the room was extremely inconvenient and was no way closer to the Hot Spring. We went back to the Front Reception & they were nice to upgrade us to the King Cottage. Restaurant seemed to have changed hands. Food was not so good as before, & presentation was sub par. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

The cabin and pools were great, however I was extremely disappointed with the Spa. I booked a treatment listed as 75 minutes long with a massage, hand and foot scrub, facial, and hair mask. I can let it slide that I didn’t receive a hand and foot scrub, but I am disappointed that the treatment itself was only 45 minutes long. When I went back the following morning to ask about the missing 30 minutes, I was told that filling out forms, waiting for the masseuse to prepare and enter the room, and the shower I was told to have afterwards were all part of the 75 minutes, and that no one else had ever complained about it before. It is totally misleading and wrong to advertise a 75 minute treatment and include paperwork, wait times and a shower into part of that package. Especially since there is not even mention of a shower on the treatment listing. I would never have bought the experience if I knew it would be half the time listed, and am left feeling quite upset that I did.
