Ctrip really tried its best, and there was nothing it could do about the scammers.
The location was OK, with McDonald's and Starbucks next to it, and Independence Square not far away.
Thinking of the recent IHG 2N event, I booked 4 nights at Ctrip IHG flagship store. When I checked in at midnight, they said that the membership could not be recognized. HIX had no benefits, and I couldn't even get an N, and they didn't allow me to rebook.
The front desk had a very bad attitude and kept urging me to pay, saying that Ctrip would not allow a refund. So I contacted Ctrip and learned that the front desk said that the manager was not there and could not handle it. Ctrip fully supported rebooking. Later, the front desk found the manager to communicate, and booked and paid at the front desk cash price.
After the payment, the front desk was even more irritated, so I had to contact the manager again to change the bed.

Overall okay stay. The food for the buffet was great. Plenty of options to choose from.
The only downside I had with my stay was that my room smelled like smoke for 3 nights in a row. The staff has kindly provided a device to treat the smoke but it’s still very much prevalent. After coming back from my trip and unpacking, I realized all my clothes smelled like smoke. This should be taken more seriously as no one likes the smell of cigarettes when they sleep.

To be honest, this is the worst Holiday Inn I've ever stayed in. I arrived at 2am on the first night and was given a room on the second floor near the road. The room was very small and irregular, very depressing! And the floor height was low. The shower head was full of mold spots, super disgusting. The carpet was also dirty. The bed sheets and quilt cover didn't look like they had been changed, and there were lipstick marks on the quilt cover. Then I complained to a guy who came up to change the quilt cover in the middle of the night, but he threw the vest on the ground. In the morning, I was woken up by a motorcycle on the side of the road. It was too noisy! I felt like I was living on a plane! In short, don't book it!

It’s my second time staying at Holiday Inn Express. first time was in Phuket and it was great. decided to try the one in Jakarta and we’re very happy with our decision. it was really cheap when we bought it as they were offering a good deal. The location is very good, its in the central of Jakarta itself. 10mins walk to Grand Indonesia/Plaza Indonesia, 15mins walk to Thamrin City and 20mins walk to Menteng. its so convenient and accessible as theres a bus/mrt station nearby, a lot of mini mart, cafes/restaurants nearby.
I stayed for 4 days 3 nights and we’re very satisfied with our stay! Hotel room was spot on clean, bed was comfortable, had no issue with the restroom, aircond and wifi was all good. the staff including their security guards were very nice, kind, friendly, helpfull and attentive from they day we arrived til we left. breakfast spread was good too! thank you Holiday Inn Express for your warm hospitality. will definitely stay here again in future. highly recommended.
