Let me start by saying (especially for American travelers) you are in Tuscany. Immerse yourself in the experience and culture. For those who think it needs updating...... Life without all of preconceived necessities is wonderful. I now know how to make amazing coffee with an extractor. Laugh at the little things that are different and go with the flow. Yes, you will need a car but easy to rent from Chiusi and a very easy drive from there. Chiusi also has a regional train station which I used for Florence. Otherwise driving is pretty easy. Drove to Siena which was my favorite, Assisi and many small towns in the area. Best kept secret is the Labyrinth of Porsenna in Chiusi. And check out the Etruscan museum and dig site in San Casciano dei Bagni. Be sure to walk the about 5000 steps to the bell tower in Celle Sul Rigo. Experience the original part of the town. Enjoyed several meals at the agriturismo restaurant and they were wonderful. The best part is that it is so relaxed you make friends with other vacationers. Reach out, enjoy the moments. Also visited the little store at the bottom of the hill and the agriturismo shop on site and did some cooking in our unit. The cooking class on site was so much fun. Lots of laughter and delicious food. And the view is priceless. Now remember you are in Tuscany. Except for tourist attractions everything closes down in the afternoon and around noon Saturday until Monday morning. But that is part of the charm. Simone is a wealth of knowledge and always so willing to assist. And there is something to be said for seeing the staff in town and they say hi. And yes I am checking out RCI availability for 2025. Ready to do this again.

First time in region loved the town and proximity of an hour drive to Siena and Assisi. The negatives included a bed being uncomfortable, and given the season not everything was open and lack of knowledge of this fact was significant, given that Easter Monday most things including dinner at the property was closed.

Soggiorno molto rilassante e a prezzi accessibili, e abbellito dal volo delle rondini che Il Poggio ospita e protegge! Ottimo ristorante con prodotti dell'azienda, soprattutto il sopraffino prosciutto di cinta. Il paesaggio è rilassante. Buona vacanza!

Struttura molto accogliente, personale gentile e cortese, vista splendida e ottimo cibo. Una struttura che si trova nel cuore della val d orcia tra le colline toscane più belle d Italia . La struttura è pulita e sembrare di stare in un luogo ameno e lontano dal mondo ma vicino a Montepulciano .

Sono toscano e viviamo a neanche due ore da qui ma in queste terre non eravamo mai venuti. Siamo rimasti estasiati da questa valle, la natura nella sua espressione più nobile. E questa struttura ne è l’interprete ideale. Appartamenti, ovviamente rustici, arredati coerentemente con gusto. Ed il ristorante merita una menzione a parte. Amo trovare menu con pochi piatti, perché ciò è indice di cura e freschezza. E siamo al punto. Materie prime locali, sapientemente preparate nel solco di una tradizione famosa in tutto il mondo. Beviamo poco, ma sappiamo distinguere la qualità. Calici di vino di loro produzione hanno accompagnato piatti deliziosi. Pranzando e cenando varie volte abbiamo avuto l’opportunità di gustare molte specialità. La cucina del territorio al top. Jacopo, in sala, guida le scelte con simpatia e professionalità. Prezzi nella norma. Raccomandatissimo!

Breakfast buffet was extremely lacking. Units are rustic. Mattresses flat and not made for people six feet. Pillow like pancake. No laundry facilities on site or close-by. Units have no AC or fans. Hotel restaurant average dinner option. Food options are limited nearby as location is isolated. If you are an RCI user breakfast and cleaning fees outrageous. Staff was very helpful.
