As soon as we arrive we look for a parking space, we can't find it and we have to park on the street. At the reception they assigned us the room, very nice with a balcony overlooking the sea and a hydro tub in the bathroom. Pool quite large and clean, breakfast plentiful and varied.

Abbiamo trascorso tre giorni,dal 30-12-24 al 1-1-25 presso quest'albergo. La struttura presenta segni di vetustà e le camere appaiono datate. Il personale della reception è sufficientemente disponibile. Wanneer je aankomt bij de receptie en de koffiebar, dan denk je dat je in een viersterrenhotel bent beland, het ziet er modern en strak uit. Dezelfde uitstraling krijg je ook wanneer je het zwembad ziet. Eenmaal op de kamer verandert de indruk, ziet er netjes , maar enigszins gedateerd uit. Geen probleem daar kunnen wij wel mee omgaan. Het restaurant is een ander verhaal de uitstraling is strak en kil, het eten is zeer slecht, dat geldt ook voor het ontbijt. Het is prima voor een nachtje, sla het restaurant over, ga lekker eten in Cefalu

Wedding Anniversary
Very disappointed with the hotel. On arrival looked very modern. Inside very old and worn and brown. Reception not very welcoming, room very old fashioned but very clean. A long way from the town and to walk along by the sea 102 steps to negotiate, walk of approximately 2 miles.
Bad experience as our son wanted to send up a bottle of bubbly for our Anniversary but was told no one of our name was staying there. We brought this up with the manager and he was most apologetic and offered us a free meal as compensation. Breakfast very boring the same every day and staff were moving tables for the next meal whilst we were still eating.

Can not recommend if you want a 4 Star expirience
Sorry to say a very negative experience at Hotel Santa Lucia Le Sabbie d'Oro. Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet our 4 star expectations. The hotel lacks a modern ambiance, and the staff was not friendly or service-minded. Additionally, the rooms experienced issues with plumbing, which is definitely disappointing.
Even after requesting a room change, the second room had a distinct tobacco smell, which is unpleasant for non-smokers. Furthermore, our first night was disrupted by noise from neighboring rooms, which is unacceptable for a peaceful stay. It is regrettable that the hotel did not offer any compensation for these inconveniences.
Regarding the location, having a train passing outside your window makes it far from a quiet and serene environment. If you are seeking a 4-star experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

Noicy parties at night
We stayed four nights - two of the nights the hotel hosted big parties on the lawn below our room. One night was a bit noisy while the other (seemed like a 18 year birthday) had a DJ that was extremely noisy from 9 - midnight.
If you want to be a family hotel - that is just not the way to go....

All’esterno appare un albergo di categoria superiore restaurato e in condizioni eccellenti. Però già all’ingresso appare la scarsa qualità degli interni, ormai datati ed in cattive condizioni di manutenzione. Le stanze sono arredate con mobili vecchi e tendaggi e tessuti anni sessanta come la moquette dei corridoi. Discreta la pulizia ma scarsa la dotazione dei servizi da bagno che comunque non viene ripetuta nei giorni successivi. Il box doccia è troppo piccolo e non ha alcun appoggio per il sapone. La stanza assegnata ha un balcone vista mare con panorama mozzafiato. Purtroppo le camere non sono insonorizzate per cui i vicini rumorosi diventano un fastidio per il sonno. Buona la colazione organizzata in totale self service. Parcheggio gratuito disponibile per gli ospiti fino ad esaurimento di posti. La TV ha pochi canali a disposizione. Il WIFI al 100 %. Personale cortese e disponibile ma ridotto all’ essenziale

Don't be fooled by the negative comments about the hotel. I was with my family for seven nights, breakfast and dinner. First of all, the hotel is located in an excellent location, close to the big market and close to the town of Cefalu. Rooms with a view of the sea and the city are perfect, the view is perfect. The room is clean and we had new towels every day. The food is like in the best restaurant, especially for dinner. Varied, every night there was a different fish, the pasta was also perfect. The staff was friendly. Everything is clean, the only downside is that the hotel inside needs to be renovated and it takes a little longer to walk to the hotel's beach, which is also really nice. Any recommendation, the right choice!♥️
