Canto de Luz - Luxury Maison

Hotel was lovely Very Modern design hotel in an old building. All the staff couldn’t be more attentive and helpful and always with a smile. Breakfast was a good choice of Fresh fruit , granola , yogurt, pastries, eggs & toast but slightly different every day which was nice And would make other items if requested Room was nice we had a double and a pull out couch which was set up as a bed for one of our party but had a wardrobe between both areas which was great for privacy Lovely kitchen area with a fridge sink and table you could eat in a f required

A great base for exploring Porto - close to all the main sights but out of the main traffic/noise of the city centre. Clean, stylish and well appointed rooms; lovely staff; ample choices for breakfast. Excellent communication from Susan from the initial booking right through to the arrival. Would definitely use again and highly recommend!

A hidden gem in Porto. Through an unassuming door you enter into a clean welcoming spacious guesthouse in the heart of the city. The staff are very welcoming and you instantly feel at home and well cared for. The courtyard area and breakfast was delicious - fresh pastry/bread from Porto's oldest artisan bakery and even a GF treat for me plus fresh fruits, eggs and cheeses. The room was clean and comfortable with a view over the courtyard. We were too busy to sit by the pool but it looked a good place for a wind down.Just a small dipping pool but a good addition.

This is a boutique hotel in a famous old street in Porto. The unassuming look and door gives way to a lovely foyer, open area and garden. Staff go out of their way to I have rarely seen staff so willing to help,on any issue. Breakfast is delicious, coffee warm. Rooms are very well appointed, and get as much or as little light as you want. Staff can help you with reservations, taxis, and advice for sightseeing and restaurants. This is a gem of a hotel.

Our first visit to Porto and Canto de Luz but it won't be our last. Even before arriving the service and communication over questions and arranging airport transfers were first class. A free coffee and pastel de nata on arrival was a nice touch as we waited for our room to be ready. The room was large and immaculately clean with everything we could need - or even didn't need such as a cooker, hob, washing machine and dishwasher. The system for controlling the lights and temperature was very high-tech and once you understood it was amazing - gave you the ability to control everything from wherever you were in the room. The bed was large and very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a walk-in shower and unlimited hot water. The breakfast each day was excellent and you had the option of eating indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. Just outside the breakfast room is a small pool with sun loungers where you can relax and read a book or pop your earpods in. The QR code to get you a free welcome drink of wine or port - the white port was very good! - is another welcoming touch. The hotel is in an excellent location just a few minutes walk from the main square and also from lots of nice bars, coffee shops and restaurants. We were very impressed by Canto de Luz and especially by the staff - invariably helpful, friendly and smiling - makes such a difference to the atmosphere particularly in a small personal hotel like Canto de Luz. Thank you for an excellent city break. We're looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Canto de Luz was by far the best accommodation we stayed in during our trip to Portugal. Great location and delicious breakfast. We had a lovely room on the third floor with a garden view. There is an elevator which was handy for moving our luggage. The staff are friendly, proactive and helpful. Communication ahead of our arrival was very professional, including recommendations on restaurants and tours. I would not hesitate to stay there again and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Porto.

Just so lovely and welcoming and effortless. We loved it! Everything felt so easy, so calm, so relaxing. Everything and every detail thought out. The staff were so friendly and thoughtful too. Great area of Porto to explore. Would definitely recommend

We stayed at Canto de Luz villa style apartment during our visit to Porto. It’s a hidden gem away from hustle and bustle of the busy city yet conveniently located to all main attractions. The property is well maintained and has all important amenities. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and fresh . We enjoyed every minute of our stay!❤️❤️
