My favourite hotel . Reservations handled efficiently , checking in quick and professional and assistance to our room immediate. The rooms are well prepared and sparkling clean. The variety of food and preparation thereof is always great. Amazed when the manager recognised us from a hotel where he worked previously. Mark appears to have brought energy to the whole hotel. He can be seen in the gardens, in reception , in the dining hall monitoring and adding to make Champagne Castle Hotel the best. Love visiting it and we are never disappointed. Great value for money.

From our welcome, to the magnificent view, to the divine meals... our family had the best four nights of 2024 at Champagne Castle Hotel. The staff outdid themselves. Many thanks to Mark for being friendly, Tilicia for her kind professionalism and especially Rogers for the fun entertainment (Karoake night was a blast!)

This old style berg hotel was a treat for the whole family. Meals are freshly prepared and offer a good variety. The rooms are comfortable but the general decor throughout the hotel is dated . We used the games room , swimming pool and bowling green.

Amazing location. Accommodation was really comfortable. Great staff, especially the chaps that assist with the horse rides - knowledgeable and kind. Facilities are great for family getaways. Incredible walks right from the resort. Will definitely be back!

Champagne Castle is NOT equipped for anyone who has a mobility disability. They say they are doing upgrades to rectify this in 2025. That didn't help me in 2024. They should not have taken my booking! Not recommended if you are unable to walk or use any type of walking aid.

HI stay is worth the price you pay place is clean rooms a superb Staff are friendly and helpful and this goes for some of them Management need to be a bit more jacked up - although you pay with meals, if they do not cater for you - too bad, better luck next time - there is no compromise. the rooms have no receptions for any calls or message, you are just excluded from he world - come on guys ..... what happens if you have a family emergency or change of plans........... this is extremely poor service. I think if you are a 4 star surely you should be able to provide this service.

The entire place needs a revamp - everything is looking extremely old and tatty (especially the furniture in the lounges/bar). We have been to Champagne Castle many times but will not be going back any time soon. The food was disappointing, flavourless and bland, the service was shocking - we spent three nights there. Night one: Ordered a bottle of popular SA wine - out of stock. "We will have it tomorrow, sir" - tomorrow we were told "out of stock" again. On our third night we managed to get the wine we wanted. The morning and afternoon teas lacked imagination and the synthetic cream to go with the dismal scones was aweful! Such a pity, because they have one of the best locations in the Berg.

WoW ... Champagne Castle Hotel. One of the BEST holidays spent in the Berg. Amazing Hotel with excellent facilities, meals, cocktails, rooms, beds, bathroom, things to do, entertainment, walks, playing bowls, games, bingo, karaoke, just relaxing at the poolside, etc.. Beautiful big & clean pool but was a bit too cold to swim. However, what really & truly made our holiday extra special was the awesome Management & Staff. They were just so helpful, friendly & accommodating to ensure that they met our needs and meal requirements. I give this hotel a 10 out of 10 and will definitely go back for more holidays (both in the summer & winter...).
