Just returned from our second stay here, you really can't get anywhere more peaceful and homely, and the owners Lizzie and David are extremely welcoming. The views from the top floor bedroom are second to none, it was lovely to have the balcony doors open as the sun had set.

It's a B&B in someone's house not a hotel If you are expecting a hotel it's not, it's a B&B in a couples personal home! It may suit some people and not others. You need to decide for yourself

New favourite Spotless, charming, very, very quiet, beautiful setting, friendly and attentive hosts. Absolutely nothing negative at all. Possibly one of my favourite ever places I've stayed at in 25 years of travelling for business. I've recommended it to all of my work colleagues.

clock tower Very friendly and considerate hosts. The house was amazing with so many interesting books, photos and other artefacts. We have already recommended some of our friends to stay there. Breakfast was lovely and the room was very spacious, highly recommended

Marvellous - Simpy Marvellous & Great Poached Eggs Thank you Lizzie and David for welcoming us into your lovely accommodation that surrounded us with so many interesting features and memories. The Clock Tower is absolutely gorgeous. Our top floor room next to the old clock mechanism was marvellous. Spacious, comfortable, great bed and a large a bathroom. Our small balcony with table and chairs was visited by birdsong all around and no other sounds. Adorable views across the garden towards an ancient church (to which the cherry tree walk is simply delightful) and onward to the more distant rustic countryside. Several times we enjoyed a wonderful walk along the gate-locked lane (no traffic) to the Red Lion - a great pub in the lovely village of Hellidon. Our car stayed parked in the forecourt for several days as we simply absorbed the English countryside. To top it off were the wonderful hosts - and the poached eggs at breakfast - excellent. Indeed, at the risk of overstating things, they were perfect. And of course - our other new friends - the owners' two lovely dogs! When next we visit from Australia we will stay again!
