The Ambasciatori B&B is a facility with two guest rooms (each one with its own shower-room) and the shared breakfast area. The whole apartment is cleverly built, so that the host has access to the breakfast area (and its small service den, closed to visitors) without disturbing guests. Each room exits to the shared hallway and offers a glass door (with curtains and the electrical shutters) to the shared breakfast area. Guest rooms are different. A smaller one has a window, while a larger room (the one we were staying in) does not have it. We chose the larger room without a window on purpose (who needs a window in December at the night time? :-) ) - we think you may be interested to ask the host about its availability upfront. The apartment is not on the ground floor, but there is a good elevator for your service. The room we were staying in offers all important amenities for travelers: a very good bed for two, a desk, a good wardrobe. WiFi worked flawlessly during our stay. The breakfast area, while small (two tables with chairs), offers a certain comfort. Also, for each room there is a small but functional fridge which one may use as it pleases. For example, we bought some fine cheeses in the small store in the building, and kept them in the fridge. And in the evening one may have a quick tea / coffee with whatever they wish. Also, the host prepares everything for the next-morning breakfast on the tables and in the fridges - this, as well, includes fresh drinkable water. The breakfast is good but we suggest to check what you would wish to have for it with the host upon your arrival. The host enters the breakfast area without disturbing visitors, so do not be surprised to find a served table in the morning, not even hearing a sound. A free car parking right across the building is a boon - we were travelling by car, and during our 3-night stay in the Ambasciatori B&B did not have a problem with finding a free car parking spot - just remember to arrive in the parking in the afternoon (later it may become fully occupied!!!). No problems with restaurants around. Personally we may recommend Taverna Peppino (on Via Empedocle 43) - this is THE place with great food and a chance to try the horse meat! Ands it's a five-minute walk from the B&B And we wish to thank our host Andrea for the hospitality and excellent maintenance of the place. We strongly recommend the Ambasciatori B&B for stay in Catania
