Comfortable bed, very friendly staff. Hot water and air conditioner works well. Loved how the hotel is situated. Onsite restaurant food was really good. Would definitely stay there again.

Our family loved Hillside Boutique Hotel. Our room had unique furniture and decorations. The back opened to a balcony that had a beautiful view. The outdoor pool also had that overlook of the valley. We had a comfortable, relaxing experience. The next time we are in the area, we will definately want to stay here again.

The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The room itself was not at all as expected. It was dark, had the appearance of being unclean and just was not inviting. When one claims to be a boutique hotel the expectation is that the hotel is a level up. This hotel was not at all as expected.

This is the second time my hubby and I have stopped at Hillside Hotel. First was during Covid for lunch. It looked so cute and we knew it would have a fabulous view (and the food was wonderful). We decided to come back to spend a relaxing afternoon, dinner, and an overnight getaway. We hoped to experience the pool, but instead had a lovely time under their back porch watching the rain clouds all around us. We had an exceptional dinner (ribeye for him, salmon for me) with fantastic sides and super tasty adult bevs. Finished the dinner off with crunch warm churros and a couple games of shuffleboard. Our room was large and comfy, with a small couch and nice back porch. We will be back! A perfect casual Texas getaway from San Antonio... reasonably priced with great ambience and amazing restaurant/bar.

The room we had was great, with tiled floors, tiled shower, complimentary robes and a balcony, making for a comfy stay. (We paid for the king suite upgrade.) Our view was a bit less than we hoped, overlooking the back parking lot under construction but if they put in some more landscaping around that, will be ok in the future. The long view was good. The pool is very nice. Even the restaurant, which we might have skipped because we tend to look for more adventurous menus being foodies, was quite nice. Good atmosphere, service and salads. This was a respite from work weekend for us away from the busy city, and the Hillside accomodated. Only real downside here, whenever this place was built -- back in the day, owners wanted it to be roadside motel, so yo do hear some highway noise.

Beautiful setting and gorgeous views. Nice landscaping and large comfortable rooms/beds. The staff is so friendly. Very much enjoyed our stay here and the refreshing pool. Good location off 90 W and close to great barbecue and Juliana’s restaurant at the golf course. Also the onsite restaurant is beautiful and has a nice happy hour.

I got in late and Jenny was so accomodating trying to find me snacks after the restraunt closed. Thank you Jenny, I hope you get that boot off soon! The next night I went to the Barrel Room and had the most outstanding veggie plate with salmon on top. It was a lot of food and I ate it all and rolled back to my room. I had a large room with a really nice patio and an amazing view of beautiful Castroville (about 25 minutes from San Antonio) I will definately be back! Thanks Pete!!

Stayed there due to a family member getting married there. The room was dirty with no fresh roll of toilet paper (literally four squares left on the roll). The shower filled up with nasty water as we showered, floor was slimy. Had to go buy flip flops to wear while showering. Clumps of hair in the bathroom. Told management but they never sent anyone to unclog the shower. Upon checking out, I mentioned it but got no response other than “when did you notify us?” No apology for not getting to it whatsoever. Still paid full price….or more since we were there for the wedding! $239.00 per night.
