We have been to Tuscany about 1/2 dozen times and this has become our favorite stay. The pictures just begin to give the villa justice. The loving care that the owner has put in this place is astonishing. The owner, Patricia, is both an architect and art lover. Every piece looks hand picked and is a treasure. A feast for the eyes. As for the service. It is more like Patricia and Moshik take just as much loving care of their guests. Breakfast is delightful and delicious with a new added treat, home-made baked goodness each day. And the coffees are really excellent. Patricia was our own travel organizer as she would make suggestions for us to see, places to eat and things to do. She even sent us to just the right wine shop. Take her advice! It is invaluable. The accommodations. Loved the romantic style and detail of the rooms. We were two couples and we slept so well every night. There is a nice keurig/coffeemaker in the room. Nice for those of us who wake up early. The groounds themselves are vast and lovely to take a stroll in. Do not hesitate in choosing Villa Bertagni. We are sure glad we did.

Abbiamo passato quattro notti in Garfagnana soggiornando alla Villa Bertagni. Il luogo suggestivo ci ha garantito una piacevole permanenza. Degno di nota è stata la disponibilità e cortesia del proprietario, che ci ha aspettati al nostro check in tardivo e ci ha fornito buoni consigli durante il soggiorno. Anche se ben curata, un poco deludente la colazione. Ci aspettavamo prodotti freschi e locali, l’offerta a parer mio andrebbe ampliata. Le camere tutte molto belle, soprattutto i bagni! Purtroppo la nostra era molto umida il che potrebbe passare in secondo piano se si considera l’età dell’intera tenuta e il luogo in cui si trova - immersa nella foresta - splendida e antica. I due cuscini del corredo letto avevano notevoli macchie di muffa e questo non trova scusanti, alcuni dettagli come questo potrebbero rimettere tutto in discussione, consigliamo al proprietario una bella mano di fresco all’interno delle stanze. Abbiamo soggiornato con 5 cani e possiamo infine affermare che ci siamo trovati bene.

Honeymoon Stay
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Villa Bertagni. We were able to explore the surrounding area and fell in love with Northern Tuscany. Moshki was a gracious host and made us feel very welcome.

A jewel in Northern Tuscany, the host is charming and so helpful to make your trip enjoyable. The room is exceptionally well-appointed - breakfasts are amazing. We now understand the accuracy of the previous reviews and why it is so popular.

Que decir de este lugar! Increíble por donde se lo mire, naturaleza, lujo, arte, confort, calidez, una experiencia que te deja lleno el corazón. Moshik nos atendio de lujo, nos recomendó muchos lugares para visitar y comer, la recepción impacta de lo bella que es, mucho arte antiguo decorado y elegido con un gusto impecable. I booked in Villa Bertagni from 11 until 16th August 2024. I book all my trips in Booking, for the 1st time I booked this Villa without the possibility of cancellation, as it was a last minute decision and there were almost no more accomodations in the area anymore, August is always a very busy month. Unfortunately my mother had a serious accident and I had no option than cancel all my trip to Italy. Due to the serious accident, I got the refund of all my trip, even flight tickets without cancellation options but as I have Certificates and all documentation of my mother accident, I got the refund of all except Villa Bertagni. I talked to Booking (they wrote 2 emails to the property, they were very helpful and kind supporting me), I called Villa Bertagni and talked to the owner who asked me to send an email. In few words, I tallked to the property, I sent the email they advised, Booking sent 2 emails and there were simply NO REPLIES, no answers, nothing! I paid 663€ and they didnt have the minor education, respect nor comprehension to the situation I had, zero human solidarity. I also sent to the owner the Medical Certificate of my mother requesting even a partial refund or a Voucher for further use ... Simply no answer!! Do we really want to meet this kind of people who do not care at all of their customers?? Disgusting!! Not even a reply! ... Shame on you Villa Bertagni!!! Money suckers and horrible behaviour!!

Questa location è stupenda, arrivi da una stradina nel bosco e ad un certo punto ti si apre una meraviglia, sembra di essere in una favola, lontano dai rumori della città e dai paesi limitrofi, avvolti dal verde con molte zone d’ombra giuste per queste ultime estati, 2 piscine di cui una grande che riceve sole durante la giornata e l’altra quasi sempre all’ombra per godersi un acqua molto fresca. Il personale è molto gentile e attento a tutto, sa consigliare cosa visitare e dove pranzare o cenare. Colazione di dolce e salato con prodotti fatti in casa. La Villa è tenuta molto bene, ordinata e con accessori originali dell’epoca, stanze curate e tutto in stile. Una vacanza da sogno e sicuramente diversa dalle altre…

Beautiful Villa. Rooms are a bit fussy and need a decluttering for my taste. Very nice breakfast but pod coffee machine needs an upgrade! Host is overly accommodating but has some great restaurant recommendations. Grounds are overgrown and need attention. All and all a nice country getaway.
