Grifo Hotel Charme & Spa

We found here a very friendly staff, nice, cozy and clean room. Our 14 months little girl had a great time “reading” and exploring the hotel 😁. Food was very very good also. We also used the spa facilities where we found friendly staff, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. It’s must stay here if you visit Ischia. Especially since the island doesn’t have good internet service or very good stroller friendly roads. They have good wireless service and a free of charge shuttle that takes you downtown. 💚💚💚💚

I highly recommend Grifo Hotel. The staff is warm, professional, and puts you immediately at ease. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and the amenities are lovely. Shuttle service to and from the port was helpful. I was traveling alone and felt so taken care of by Alberto, Carmela, Enzo, and the entire staff! They will give you the space to practice Italian, so don’t be shy! The full breakfast and morning coffee service was really nice. I also had dinner when I arrived; be sure to make a reservation. Laundry service was also helpful. Rooftop terrace was spectacular at dawn. Nice hiking in the area. I would absolutely return.

The moment we arrived to the Grifo hotel we were greeted with a warm friendly smile. The hotel concierge greeted us with refreshing cocktails and gave us a tour of the hotel and a map of Ischia highlighting local attractions. This beautiful hotel has such lush stunning gardens with a gorgeous pool. There is a relaxing wellness spa with a sauna, Turkish bath, and thermal pools. Our room was incredible with a beautiful large terrace overlooking the gardens and a stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea. During breakfast we were greeted by name by the restaurant host, Enzo. Enzo made sure we had freshly made cappuccinos each morning and everything we needed and more. We enjoyed aperol and limoncello spritzes poolside each afternoon by our bartender as we waited for the complimentary hotel shuttle to bring us into town. We stayed 5 wonderful nights. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful stay! Easy communication, great amenities, lovely breakfast/dinner/drinks. Gorgeous location as well. A bit off the beaten path but they offer a free shuttle service to help you get around and book taxis. The mâitre'd Enzo couldn't have been kinder and more welcoming! We had a great time staying here and would return in a heartbeat.

Such a lovely homely hotel ! All staff amazing , very helpful, doing there best to ensure a great experience there . Very clean , nice food also Enzo accommodated for us to have vegetarians meals. Lovely spa. Warm friendly atmosphere. Loved everything.

We arrived at the Grifo Hotel Charme and Spa and were greeted by Matika, who was incredibly welcoming and arranged lunch for us there and then, after which she provided us with a map of the island and gave us a lot of general information about the island, use of the buses and where the bus stops were and the places to go and visit during our stay. The hotel itself is a little peace of calm away from the mainland, it is a family run hotel which has very high standards. We had 8 wonderful days there. The breakfast was delicious with lots of local produce and freshly baked cakes. Enzo was always was on hand to assist with our coffees in the morning and provide us with anything we wanted for breakfast. He was a little ray of sunshine in the mornings. We also ate at the restaurant a couple of times throughout our stay and the food was absolutely delicious and the attention to detail was exceptional. We also used the spa which was very well equipped and was a little peace of heaven for us to chill and relax. Our room was lovely, lots of wardrobe and cupboard space and was cleaned everyday, although if we had had a choice we would have preferred a seaview, but we booked the holiday quite late so I would think the rooms with a view had already been taken. The staff that we met were exceptional, unfortunately, I do not know all the names of the staff but would particularly mention Martika who was so helpful to us throughout our stay, and was an absolute star. Carmella who also worked on reception was helpful in booking a trip and the car for us, Antonio who drove the shuttle bus and dropped us off at Ischia port and the bus stops on many occasions. The buses are frequent, however, can become crowded at some points in the day, but they are easy to use and we had no problems. I would also mention the hotel shuttle bus was excellent, we used this a lot as the hotel is located up a rather steep hill and we were grateful for the service, this was a bonus for us. We will most definitely return, to the island and to this hotel, the island is beautiful with so many interesting things to see and do. The Negomba thermal baths are a must. We were so incredibly lucky to be able to celebrate our 30th anniversary in such a wonderful place. This island and hotel are very special.
