Vale da Lapa Village Resort

Lovely stay as always.

We absolutely loved this place. Visited with my wife and two children, and stayed in a spacious 3-bedroom villa with its own private pool. The villa was beautifully decorated, the kitchen well-equipped, and the pool—just the right size for winding down after a day out. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the WhatsApp service for booking taxis or making requests was fantastic—fast, efficient, and spot-on every time. It saved us trekking to reception; in fact, I didn’t need to visit once during the entire holiday. The cleaning service was excellent, with a clever option to skip a day or two in exchange for vouchers towards food and drink—a thoughtful touch. If I’m being picky, there were some loose villa pool tiles in the pool, and a tile around the villa pool was also broken, which might’ve been a concern with younger children. That aside, it’s a brilliant resort in a lovely part of Portugal—and we’ll definitely be back

The suite we had was very clean, good utensils in the kitchen if you want to self cater. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms had shampoo and shower gel provided. Air conditioning was great to. The suite was really peaceful with minimal noise apart from hearing the frogs during the night. Lots of places to park your car. I would recommend a car so that you can get out and explore the Algarve as it is probably too far to walk to Carvoeiro in peak summer heat. Although Ubers seemed to cost around €5-7. The hotel was very responsive to any questions we had via WhatsApp. Breakfast was included in the booking and there was a good variety of items to choose from, including cooked options, fruit and yoghurt. All staff were very friendly. The one thing that was a slight irritation on the whole trip was the non policing of guests reserving sun loungers with pool towels. Now I know this is a problem at most places but nobody was policing this as I have seen at other resorts. There were sun loungers where guests had bagged them by 11am and then came back late in the afternoon to remove the towels to go back to their room. Some of this is down to selfish guests so out of the hotels control but the resort could police this further and have a clearer policy. I can imagine as you get further into peak season, this will become even more of a problem.

Can not recommend vale da lapa resort enough the accommodation is a lovely size,the beds are huge, the place gets cleaned and tidied every day . The restaurant again was lovely me and my son are gluten and dairy free and they were able to cater for us for breakfast, lunch and dinner . The dinner menu in particular they could adapt pretty much most of their dishes and offered gluten free pizza, burgers and pasta .All staff were so friendly they also had a watsapp service so if we ever had a question they would reply on there very quick . I'd definitely be back to stay here

We have visited Carvoeiro many times over the years but this is our first visit to Vale Da Lapa and it will not be our last. We stayed in a 2 bedroom townhouse. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you could want from self catering accommodation. The resort itself is very quiet / peaceful / relaxing and just the place to get away and re charge the batteries! The hotel reception uses Whatsapp as a means of communication and any queries we had were answered almost immediately. In short, a great resort, excellent accommodation and staff and we cannot wait to go back.

We recently stayed at this resort and had a wonderful overall experience, which is why I’m giving it four out of five stars. While we encountered a few minor issues, the positives far outweighed them, and our family especially the children had a fantastic time. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff. We checked in late at night and were pleased to find that our villa was located conveniently close to the main reception. However, locating the villa proved to be a bit of a challenge. The signage could definitely use improvement the numbers were small and not illuminated, which made it difficult to find our way in the dark. We had to walk close to each door to identify the correct villa. The resort itself offers a wide range of activities that cater to both children and adults. Our kids especially loved the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, mini-golf, tennis, and the jacuzzi. There was never a dull moment for them. As a parent of an autistic child, it was heartwarming to see her enjoying herself and fully engaging in the experiences provided. The environment felt inclusive and welcoming for all. Adults aren’t left out either the resort features a well-equipped gym, a Turkish sauna, and a relaxing spa with a variety of treatments. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating a balanced experience for guests of all ages. The villa where we stayed was spacious, clean, and well-furnished. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of bathrooms and amenities, which made our stay convenient and enjoyable. One small inconvenience was the lack of a tumble dryer, which meant we had to dry clothes manually. Unfortunately, pegs weren’t provided, so clothes often fell to the ground while drying. Another aspect we found slightly inconvenient was the lack of a phone in the villa to contact reception. Communication was only available via WhatsApp, which isn’t ideal when you’re dealing with more immediate needs or questions. A direct phone line would have made a big difference in accessibility and convenience. Dining was generally a positive experience. Breakfast was varied, with plenty of choices even for vegetarians. However, lunch left a bit to be desired. The portion sizes for children’s meals were quite small, and vegetarian options were somewhat limited. As for shopping, there is a small mini-market on the resort, but its offerings were very limited mostly alcohol and a few basic items. Without a car, it was a challenge to walk to the nearby local shop and carry groceries back, especially with an autistic child in tow. It would be highly beneficial for the resort to expand its on-site market to include more groceries and daily necessities. Despite these few setbacks, the resort truly stands out in many ways. The staff were courteous and attentive, the atmosphere was warm and family-friendly, and the food especially at dinner was absolutely delicious. Kudos to the chef for preparing meals
