The hotel is located in a small town, which fits the feeling of a village (not a derogatory word). You must drive here (there is no public transportation).
The hotel is very quiet and feels very safe. The room is very large and fully equipped with a washing machine, a full set of kitchenware, a refrigerator, a sofa, a dining table, and a large balcony with a dining table where you can sit outdoors and watch the sunset and drink and eat, which is very comfortable.
The hotel service staff is warm and polite. We arrived at about 12:30 noon. According to the previous hotel feedback, its policy is to check in at 4 pm, but the uncle at the front desk called and asked, saying that the room has been cleaned up and can be checked in for us. It is really good, otherwise we can only put down our luggage and go out.
The hotel is not far from several attractions. It takes about ten minutes to drive there. The hotel is also about 10 minutes to drive to several large supermarkets in the town. Staying here is really the best choice for vacation. The key is high cost performance.

The location is somewhat remote and suitable for those who drive or take a taxi. There are no bus stops or restaurants around, and the nearest supermarket is just a few minutes' drive away, which is very convenient. The room is large, and the kitchen is fully equipped with kitchen utensils and tableware. There is no seasoning, but it is very good. The space is large and everything in the room is very good. I stayed at Placid Village in Carvoeiro from the 7th to the 13th of July with three friends, and we had the most amazing time. We booked a two-bedroom apartment which was lovely, spacious, and spotless. It was cleaned daily, which was such a nice touch and made our stay even more comfortable. The reception staff were incredibly kind and helpful — they allowed us to check in early at no extra cost and assisted us with our bags and any questions we had throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality really stood out. The location was perfect — peaceful yet close to local shops and amenities, with beautiful views all around. It made getting around so easy, and the setting felt both relaxing and scenic. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Myself and the girls had a great time, and I would definitely stay at Placid Village again. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Carvoeiro!

We arrived at placid village and went to reception to check in we were greeted by a miserable lady with zero people skills ! The apartment however was lovely spacious and had everything you needed so was not disappointed with that.In the evening we found the apartment a little noisy we were on ground floor and could hear dinning chairs being scraped about also a loud droning sound which I think was when the guests upstairs used the hot water, no mirrors in bedrooms, nice pool although unfortunately was not heated ! The apartment was extremely clean. The apartments are at the top of a hill so if you are elderly or unfit it would be a struggle.

Week holiday with partner and kids. We were all really impressed with the spacious accommodation, which had everything you’d need for self catering. Placid itself is small, quiet and relaxing. Kids loved pool and free padel court/facilities. Staff really friendly and helpful. Location 10-15 mins walk from main resort.

Stayed at Placid Village for 2 weeks end of April. The apartments are very well equipped. Full size fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher(with washing tabs provided), micro, cooker, electric kettle and toaster. They also provided dish cloths/scourer and tea cloth. You can also use towels from room to use around the small pool. Excellent air con units in lounge and bedroom plus a wood burner. Maids came in every day and took rubbish, sheets changed every four days . Walk to town was downhill, just under a mile. Little supermarket about half way down hill. We walked to intermarche (about 35min) did a big shop and had a taxi back which the supermarket staff phoned for us. Cost 6.60euros. Very friendly and helpful staff at Placid. You can order a breakfast which I think was about 12.50euros. Would highly recommend this site.
