It was alright
It was basic. Beds not too great, sheets thin and pillows not great. The pool is nice, the breakfast decent. It has free parking. No swimming beaches nearby, and the Benagil caves are now closed.

Good Hotel
Hotel is in a good quiet location close to Carvoeiro and other beach attractions in the area. Easy parking and in good conditions althought some areas would need renovations. Pool is nice and kept clean. Superior room was recently renovated and of a good size with balcony/ side seaview.
Restaurant is probably the area that would benefit of some improvements on quality and variety at breakfast and dinner.

Beautiful beach stay, just needs rooms deep cleand
A wonderfully quiet, safe, and overall good stay. Big buffet breakfast included was delicious, staff was friendly. Only thing keeping it from getting a perfect score is the mold in the bathroom tiles, very uncomfortable beds, and the sofa stain (or at least I hope it was soda) on the ceiling of the room.

O Hotel é agradável, boa envolvência, embora ventosa.
O jantar buffet, tem boa qualidade, o quarto espaçoso e as camas confortáveis. A limpeza do quarto eficiente qb. o Staff disponível e simpático, embora com muitos juniores sem experiência...
Foi uma estadia simpática, no entanto, não posso deixar de fazer alguns reparos, que no meu entender, colocam em causa a classificação de 4*...
a) degraus por todo o lado, não existe qualquer rampa. Torna inviável o recurso a uma cadeira de rodas e dificulta muito a vida a quem utiliza carrinhos de bébé. Vê-se que estamos a falar de uma arquitetura antiga, mas poderia ter melhorias.
b) os caixotes de lixo das piscinas, transbordavam ao fim do 3º dia, nunca foram esvaziados ao longo da estadia de 4 dias.
c) grande quantidade de espreguiçadeiras, no entanto, a maior parte estavavam práticamente inutilizadas ou deficientes. Elásticos rebentados, telas completamente deformadas, quando nos sentamos, levamos com as costas da cadeira na cabeça. Existiam também umas cadeiras de baloiço, muito confortáveis, mas também em mau estado na maior parte dos casos.
d) todas estas cadeiras/baloiços mesmo partidas e deitadas/viradas no chão mantêm-se nos sítios de origem sem serem recolhidas, muito desagradável...
e) toldos das esplanadas e da piscina, os primeiros rasgados, os segundos, todos pigmentados com bolor...
Enfim, penso que são tudo questões de fácil solução e até de pequeno investimento, mas é preciso que alguém se preocupe com elas.

Would love to stay again
We really enjoyed our stay at Baía Cristal! The location can’t be beat, as it is just a short walk from Centianes beach and the start of the seven hanging valleys trail. Walking the other direction will take you to algar seco and Carvoeiro. Breakfast is included, while not the most inspiring it will provide something for everyone. The real appeal at breakfast is watching the little gray cat play with olives on the pool deck. Rooms are nice, plenty of room to spread out, hangers, a small fridge, and even a sitting area to look out at the water. Some areas of white paint could use a scrub or another layer of paint, but for an ocean view at this price i can deal. We didn’t try the pool, hot tub, or spa, but they looked great.
