The Alfiz hotel is well located and the staff is very helpful. As an older couple we had some difficulties. Our room was on the second floor and the upper banister did not easily reach the top steps and it required some contortions to ascend safely. Our bathtub/shower was difficult to get in and out of and there were no grab bars to help. The controls for the shower also filled the tub and drainage was poor so that one showered in ankle deep water. We explained this to the staff but it remained a problem. Because it is an older house there are several internal steps which are not well marked. It is easy to trip. Breakfast was good but limited to fruit, juice, eggs with toast or arepas and coffee or tea. There were no pastries or yogurt. I realize some of these issues may not be a problem for the young and agile but they were for us.

Hotel Alfiz is a definitely must stay place in Cartagena. The staff are wonderful. Polite, friendly, and very helpful. Especially Karina. The room (Pirate) we stayed in was perfect. The shower was awesome. The bed was massive and very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent. They're not lying when they say the rooms are soundproof. We will be back.

El baño es literalmente un balde con media puerta de madera un baño químico tienen más intimidad con . no lo recomiendo para nada , ducha sin cobertura , ni un hotel alojamiento se presenta así, la CAMa grande es de una plaza y media

Encantador hotel. Se trata de un pequeño hotel situado en una antigua y preciosa casa en el centro histórico de Cartagena, por tanto la ubicación es excelente. El trato y la amabilidad del personal también son esplendidas y el desayuno muy bueno.

Very nice hotel at excellent location in Cartagena, all on walking distance for the old town. Breakfast is very good and more than enough. Very friendly staff. Rooms are nicely decorated, option to use airco and or a fan. If you are not looking for the big hotels with swimming pools etc, this is perfect.

Beautiful room with balcony overlooking the street (totally quiet with double glazing). Very comfortable, pretty lounge with free coffee, excellent breakfast cooked to order, lovely helpful staff. Little swimming pool and great location in the old town added bonuses.

Personal, charming, nicer than in the pictures. Great included breakfast. Perfect location in the walled city. Helpful with securing taxis for us and flexible about keeping our bags for quite a while after checkout. Good price for what you get.

Great hotel - right in the centre of the old town. Some reviews have concerns about the noise at night from the streets but I found this did not worry me at all - and the location more than made up for it. The room was very spacious and the air con worked well. Breakfast was good, and the staff were excellent. I would definitely stay here again if in Cartagena.
