Not recommended. Stay on the mainland instead. My regret is staying on an island for a whole week. I should stayed on the mainland and gone to the island just for a day trip. The hotel service was terrible...not from everyone but the majority of the staff was less than accommodating. The room faced a rooster farm, they made noise from 2am throughout the day. One night the chef left early and we were unable to eat for dinner because there was no food prepared. Going to the island no one told us that we had to carry our luggage ourselves onto the boat which got wet both ways. The staff covering the bar were lacking in customer service and most of the time, not present. It was nice having a beach but it was sooooo dirty with garbage. The only good thing about this hotel was that the food was actually pretty decent. Only 2 days they had buffet but there wasn't enough ppl for buffet style so you had to make sure you reserved what you wanted to eat for lunch or else you couldn't eat. It was not ideal. The rooms had mold, no shower curtain, no hot water in the w/c and the TV never worked. Overall, I wouldn't stay there again. It was advertised as an all-inclusive...but it wasn't really that. Stay on the mainland....dont stay on an island for an extend amount of time. The boats only run until 4 or 430pm so you're stuck until the next day and everything on the island closes early on the island. There was only one lovely store that was open until 7pm to buy essentials like booze since the hotel was lacking on that part after 6pm.

The hotel said it was all inclusive with the food, drinks, they control the portion of the food, if you ask for another piece of break they said it was1 per person, it was the same with meat, chicken or rice, on the last 2 days it looks like the chef arrived, the presentation of the food was a little better.. The transportation is very limited, I sent e mails before my arriving and nobody answer, we lost the first night because the flight was delayed , I tried to reach out for the transportation, but they only has it from 9 am to 11 am to take you on boat to the island, I spoke with the person in charge for the ship and she explained it to me, that they have a contract with the hotel, she provided me the phone# from another ship, but I had to pay out of pocket for this on Sunday, so we decided to stayed in another hotel due to the inconvenient. The next morning I spoke with the person in charge in the hotel to let them know that we will arrive on Monday morning ,explained that we had an issue with the flight and nobody answer. He never notified the arrival to the reception. They don’t clean the room, they knock your door to clean when you are inside so you can declined. The price in the relation with the food, drinks services and cleaning, it is not worth it. The last night we had to go to another hotel, I asked for my refund they said that is not with them. I Lost my money.

Bad experience. We went for a birthday and it was horrible. We arrived at 9 am, they gave us the rooms at 4 pm. The receptionist was not friendly at all. The lunch was very tasteless and the dinner was worse, super hard meat, juice that tasted like pure water, raw potatoes, after it was served one hour and forty minutes later. People shouted: WE WANT TO EAT, WE WANT TO EAT. The truth is, a very bad experience, I don't recommend it at all. What made it bearable was the guy at the open bar, very friendly, he made the experience bearable. The good one for him.

We spent 7 days with friends. I loved the place, our large, spacious room. The shower does not have hot water, which surprised us but as the days went by we realized that it was not necessary. Very few tourists, pandemic effect... the beach is beautiful, although the water is not transparent as we expected. A separate mention for the staff, both Mrs. Amparo who was at our disposal for what we needed, and the waiters, chefs, staff cleaning people who did their best to help us get to know and taste Colombian food and give us pleasure in everything. And we feel very cared for by the security staff! A place to rest!
