Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im “Life is Good Cartagena” sehr genossen. Das Hotel überzeugt durch seine hervorragende Lage, die es einfach macht, die Stadt zu erkunden. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist absolut top. Unser Zimmer war zwar recht klein, aber sauber und gut ausgestattet – für uns vollkommen ausreichend. Allerdings ist das Hotel aufgrund der baulichen Gegebenheiten leider nicht barrierefrei und daher für Rollstuhlfahrer nicht geeignet. Die Dachterrasse mit Whirlpool ist ein absolutes Highlight – perfekt, um den Tag entspannt ausklingen zu lassen und den Blick über Cartagena zu genießen. Zudem bietet das Hotel hauseigene Kochkurse an, die wir sehr empfehlen können – eine tolle Möglichkeit, die kolumbianische Küche näher kennenzulernen! Besonders hervorzuheben ist das unglaublich freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal, das unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Vielen Dank für den tollen Service! Alles in allem eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die eine gemütliche Unterkunft in zentraler Lage suchen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tout simplement parfait!
Je n’ai que du positif à dire sur cet hostel! Le personnel est incroyable. Ils sont tous attentionnés et font tout pour rendre votre séjour agréable. J’ai participé au cours de cuisine, ne passez pas à côté! Quelle belle expérience! C’était une belle soirée et on a préparé des recettes que je pourrai refaire à la maison pour me rappeler ma visite à Cartagena. Les dortoirs sont propres, bien aménagés, les lits sont très confortables. L’hostel est bien situé et toute la vieille ville et Getsemani sont accessibles à pied à partir de là. Le déjeuner inclus était différent chaque jour et tellement bon! Vraiment j’ai tout aimé. Je le recommande sans hésitation!

Second time staying here, staff treats you like family, like the decor of the place (they converted a colonial house but kept the original materials and design). Context= back in 2022, I was going to stay here for a bit and ended up being 2 months... (tells you all you need to know) Breakfast (quality) is included, much quieter than other hotels in the area = better sleep at night! Also purified water/coffee free, which saves some $$ as you can't drink the tap water in Cartagena (other hotels I have to keep buying bottles). For socializing and meeting people, can always go to Selina rooftop nearby or cafes in Getsemani neighborhood, then return to Life is Good for the peace.

this hostel is more like a hotel. in great location close to Trinidad square. large lockers in dorms big enough for large backpack and large front pack. choice of three types of breakfast. free coffee 24/7. arranged taxi to airport 25k. highly recommend. only downside is that I arrived at 7pm and couldn't book any tours for next day as they use an external tour agent.

We had a wonderful stay at Life is Good in Cartagena. We found the staff to be incredibly attentive and the quality of the food in the restaurant was excellent. If you are looking for somewhere close to all the action of Getsemani and the old town, without all the noise then this place is ideal. We also did a cooking class which was absolutely worth it. Before coming here, I didn't realise just how nice Colombian food was but after this course, I will certainly be trying it at home. The absolute highlight for us during our stay was the kitten. She is utterly adorable and incredibly playful and worth the room rate alone.
