The building, of course is exceptional. However, there is definitely a common thread, with their unfriendly staff. At checkin, after walking the Camino, he doesn’t even say hi, throws us the stamp, and does not tell us any info about breakfast, our bags, dinner etc. There is no food there until 8 pm. The cafe is frozen pizza and old sandwiches. The room was lovely, but the shower was moldy, which I always find disgusting. The breakfast was good, but served very late, 8am, as pilgrims like an earlier breakfast for an early start. It could be so much better, if their manager would read these reviews. How hard is it to have friendly staff, and staff that speak a little English?

Fuimos a comer y llegamos justamente a la hora de apertura. Ya para entonces el camarero estaba con cara de pocos amigos; nos atendió con desgano, no disfrutamos el servicio ni la experiencia. La comida estuvo buena, con excepción de un pan que llevan al principio, estaba duro, seco y no justificaba el precio superior a 3 euros.

El sitio es precioso y cargado de historia. Merece la pena recorrer el alojamiento y ver las distintas estancias. El restaurante Las Vigas es una maravilla y la comida está muy bien. La atención del personal, fantástica. La mayor pega a considerar es el desayuno bufet... es lamentable tanto en cantidad como en calidad... nefasto!! La tortilla de patata es sintética, la bollería es industrial y además de muy mala calidad, bollos, cruasanes, etc secos y duros como piedras, lamentable. Bacon y revuelto frío y reseco... Un robo los 13,50€ que cobran por ello. Recomiendo el alojamiento pero no el desayuno.

Hemos estado en varias ocasiones siempre en las habitaciones con nombre del mes. Todo perfecto en limpieza decoración… Solo destacaria como muy mejorable el desayuno, que aunque esta incluido en el precio de la habitación hay muy poca variedad y la atención del servicio inexistente. Todo lo contrario en la repcion siempre muy amables.

Nos alojamos en este Hotel ubicado en el Monasterio de San Zoilo durante pa primera noche de nuestra escapada a tierras palentinas. Está bien ubicado, con in amplio parking exterior, y a escasos 10 minutos andando de la Plaza Mayor de Carrión. La habitación era amplia y espaciosa, y nos dejaron detalle de bienvenida (unas chocolatinas) y amenities en el baño. El hotel es rústico, muy limpio y en un enclave singular y el personal que nos atendió muy amable en todo momento. Se respira paz y silencio. Por la mañana bajamos a desayunar a la cafetería y me sirvieron unas tostadas con el café que aún me estoy relamiendo de lo buenas y crujientes que estaban...!! Después antes de irnos, pasamos a visitar el Monasterio con su Claustro y la Iglesia y nos encantó...

El edificio, entorno y conservación de todas las instalaciones, excelentes. NO OBSTANTE, algunas cosas deberían ser revisadas y me he generado una situación anómala a la que no se me ha dado respuesta o una explicación razonable. Por un lado, en la web indica wifi de alta velocidad gratuita. Esto es simplemente falso, la wifi no es posible utilizarla más allá de recepción, y con poca señal. Es inútil en la zona de habitaciones y en algunas zonas comunes tampoco, aconsejo revisarla o eliminar la mención a wifi de alta velocidad. He de decir que el bufete de desayuno es bastante pobre para un hotel de 4*, si además vemos a una persona que manipula la comida, pastelería..., etc. sin guantes ni ninguna medida higiénica como utilizar pinzas, me parece inadmisible (y no es la figura del concinero/a). Finalmente, no acabo de comprender cómo se puede decidir poner música ambiente en las zonas comunes desde que amanece hasta la media noche SOLO CANTO GREGORIANO, es simplemente absurdo, incluso, algún empleado nos contesta con resignación porque les parece increíble, DEBEN MEJORAR.

After days walking the Camino, i was delighted to find this historic and beautiful setting, unfortunately what I will remember most is the rude and poorly trained staff. The surly barman who clearly doesn't like his job. The breakfast ladies, who in addition to being inattentive and abrupt, took the opportunity to be rude and disrespectful because I misunderstood their direction. When I returned to explain the misunderstanding they doubled down, refusing to budge. Unnecessarily rude. Reception apologized for their behavior but could not produce a manager because he said that "no one answered the phone" because "in Spain managers don't work on Sundays". Exception: dinner was exceptional and wait staff very nice.

Llegamos de viaje y había una boda que ocupaba todo el local del hotel Cafetería restaurante salones jardines etc un desastre Hacía un calor espantoso y no había ningún sitio para descansar solo la habitación que era más bien normal No pudimos tomar nada ni en la cafetería porque la boda duró hasta las 11 que tenían discoteca
