Cairn Hotel

As we sometimes do we added another day on to our holidays. This time we decided to stay here on our way to Ullapool. We could not check in until 4pm but thankfully the bar was open and we simply sat there and had a drink until we could. There is ample parking behind the hotel so you do not need to park in the main street. The hotel entrance is different from the bar entrance and whilst our son only had to go upstairs from there to get to his room, we had to go to the next again entrance to get to our double room. The room itself was on the small side but since it was ony for one night we could live with it. We had our dinner there that evening and it was very good as was breakfast in the morning which was included in the very reasonable price for all three of us staying there. I would have no problems staying here for one night, but to be honest, given the room size I would not want to stay here for more than that. There was nothing wrong with the hotel in any way and the staff were very friendly, it is just not somewhere I would plan to stay for more than one night.

Spent two nights at this hotel. Overall I found it a decent place and good value for money. The room was clean and comfortable but a wee bit tired and I need of freshening up. The breakfast was good, cooked to order and plenty of choice. I ate in the bar one evening but was a bit underwhelmed, there wasn’t a lot of choice on the menu and the quality wasn’t great. The staff were friendly and helpful. If I was going to visit the area in future I would consider staying here again.

Food at Cairn was fantastic from evening meal to breakfast, really good portions and first class quality. Staff from check in to restaurant & bar were great, very accommodating and helpful and nice to see cheery faces. The room was a great size, reasonably priced with all amenities, overall hotel probably needs a little updating but this did not detract from our stay. Would definitely recommend staying.

Great few nights at the Cairn Hotel - first visit but won’t be my last! Reasonably priced, comfy rooms, tasty food and great service in the middle of a special place - what’s not to love? Plenty of car parking and had two great evening meals in the bar, felt like a real locals pub which is always a good sign!

Warm welcome, excellent food (burger) and great beer (Cairngorm brewery). Always ensure we visit at least once whilst on holiday in Nethybridge. Consistently good and comfortable (fire roaring). Staff answer the telephone immediately when enquiring about opening hours/bookings etc.

Perfect location for a break within the Aviemore surrounding area. Extremely friendly owner and staff. Truly wonderful breakfast. Excellent warm and friendly bar with lovely food. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend. Loads of things to do nearby.
