Just been there today for Sunday lunch with my family and it wasn’t good. Egg mayonnaise for starters was just that - a boiled egg, a dollop of mayo and a few pieces of iceberg lettuce. Was I wrong to expect more? The turkey and ham was no better. Processed turkey meat, mashed spuds, peas and some very inedible roast potatoes - all this for £29 The bill was wrong too, and when I queried it I got a very frosty reception. We’ll defo not be back!

Shabbier than chic, this is long due the promised renovation beginning later this month. Terrible mattress, difficult bathroom. Food was edible though nothing to write home about. Breakfast was better than dinner. Best thing in the place was Declan in the Whiskey Bar. Intriguing history and lovely, convenient location on the Antrim Coast. Hopefully the new owners will return the shine.

We were staying in Glenarm but came over here for a walk and a nosey. Stopped in here for a coffee and a snack. Service was excellent and the staff very accommodating. We only had drinks but the food going to tables looked and smelled amazing. Would like to visit again and try some

We are staying nearby & were looking for somewhere for dinner - what a fabulous dinner we have just enjoyed. Having had EXACTLY the same meal least night (will post review later) I can tell you this is by far the better. Home cooked food, super friendly service and a a traditional Irish welcome. Seafood chowder was freshly prepared & tasty with fresh fish, my partner's chicken curry was fragrant and delicious - "one of the best I've ever tasted'. 5 star place, please ignore the other reviews - we would not hesitate to return here. 😊💚

Stopped for lunch. Food was very nice but the service was a little slow, it wasn't busy. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The building is very traditional but a bit tired. It's under new owners who plan to upgrade it. Hope the improvements are done sympathetically.

This hotel is full of history and character, my understanding is that it has changed hands recently. It’s going to be fascinating to see what the new owners do with it. Certainly plan to visit again, a great place to stay when exploring the Antrim coast.

Took my mother for a meal, table was prebooked. Inital impressions were good and then it just went down hill. Waited 45 minutes for 2 steak sandwhiches and the steak to be medium rare ( it was tough and over cooked and the chibta bread was like a brick), there was an issue with the order and it was addressed with the waiting staff, we were told "what do you want me to do about it" a manger was asked for, no manger on site, however they could get the chef. Then told we are only all 17. I do not blame the waiting staff but no support no mangement to help. 3 tables a total of 6 people got food in 1 hour. No one was seating people it was a free forall. People waited that long they left. Would not recommend complete carnage

Heard the hotel had been sold and thought we'd call in yesterday when passing through Carnlough. Well, one look was enough to tell me not to go in! Grubby run down, rotten windows, flaking paint, dirty walls, looks like it's derelict. Now, there may be a plan to address this - but, window boxes on either side of main entrance dead through lack of watering and care, entrance hall looked dark and depressingly empty. No menus in the two brass holders either side of the entrance to The Coach House Grill which were dirty and discoloured. A notice in the door saying the Grill was closed due to a private function - 3 days previously! Looks like finally it may be game over as obviously the new owners are incapable of making a good impression.

Totally mad owner! We were a few minutes early at the breakfast, the lady who was checking the breakfast was very nice. Then the owner came and was completely mad, shouting at us that we are too early and that we need to leave. Never had such bad experience as in this hotel! Go feint some other hotel, this is no good!

Went to the restaurant for dinner . After having pre booked a table for 2 we arrived only to find no table had been reserved . A coach had stopped ad hoc and taken over the bar / restaurant. We were given a table without a chair . After a wait we were given a chair from the conference room . We were presented with a food menu , no drinks menu but asked what we would like to drink .we had to ask for the wine menu. Then the 30 or so coach travellers left . We asked to be seated at the window as the restaurant was now virtually empty . This seemed like a chore for the staff and we had to carry our own drinks / glasses wine to the new table , no help from the staff . The food was a 7 out of 10 so not bad. Having finished our mains we ordered a dessert which never appeared . After 40 - 45 minutes we payed the bill . The service here was just appalling I highly recommend you eat elsewhere.

Had a lovely stay overnight on our tour here, we got our room upgraded and staff were so friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant that evening and food was fantastic and great service. This is a proper tradional hotel and we enjoyed our stay. Even had a good chat with the locals (Richard) in the morning after breakfast.

Nice hotel but such a shame that the outside is so run down. Really wanted to book a stay but the outside was dirty and in need of tlc so put us off. Location of the village is lovely and food was good. Potential to be a lovely venue if it was tidied up.

Just back from a lovely couple of days at The Londonderry Arms. We had a very comfortable coastal room, with beautiful antique furniture. We had dinner both nights in the hotel and could not fault the cuisine. All the staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The entertainment on Easter Sunday was fantastic (Zolene & ALS band) we thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be back!
