Booked to stay here for just one night for our 30th anniversary. Lovely hotel. Room 108 next to the reception was a lovely large room and bed with dining area. Seating area outside. Bed very comfy. Breakfast was yummy . Tea and coffee facilities fab. Hotel seemed empty so was a little disappointed we were not offered a room with a view of the ocean. Hot tub area empty in the day and hubby had a sit in it . in the evening we decided to sit there with our drinks only to find a young couple being rather intimate in the hot tub!! Not great really !! The hotel is a bit of a walk to the main shops which are all lovely and I just wanted to buy everything I saw. Carmel is stunning. I would stay here again as very quiet hotel. Lovely staff and yummy breakfast .

My husband and I spent Labor Day weekend in Carmel and stayed at Horizon Inn. Quaint little inn with personal touches by the owners such as breakfast delivered to your door each morning. We enjoyed our time very much. Bed was very comfortable, room was a nice size with jacuzzi tub and fireplace. The property is very clean and beautiful. The only con, no air conditioner. The weekend was warm with not much sea breeze. Even with the box fan provided, it just wasn’t as comfortable as we would have liked. It was a bit unsettling to sleep with the doors and windows open. Just know before you go.

Beware you will be charged for 2 extra people in a suite that states it is for 4 people. We stayed as a family of 4 in suite 206 stated as accomdating 4 but paid for 2 extra peole. Shaddy.

We recently stayed here, at the Annex. It's right across the street from the main lodge. The staff are wonderful. Very accommodating of owners with pets. The location is close enough to downtown, an easy walk; but, far enough away that you get the peace and quiet in the local residential neighborhood. I really appreciated the daily breakfast! A perfect start to the day. The hydration station is a nice perk too so you don't have to buy bottled water. I would happily return when I'm in the area.

Wife and I celebrated our 58th anniversary with a 3-night stay at this quaint hotel. Our room was on the second floor with an expansie view of the ocean in the distance. The room is well maintained with a gas fireplace and balcony. We appreciated the breakfast basket each morning containing a satisfying continental breakfast and the wine and cheese service between 4 and 6 PM in the office. The hotel is several blocks from the downtown area, about 0.4 miles and a steep climb for older folks like us

My son and I stayed in Horizon Inn at the recommendation of a friend and we loved it. It was the perfect location for Car Week being five blocks or so from Ocean Avenue (downtown Carmel). Easy access for events in Carmel, evening dining, etc. and quick access to other nearby locations including Laguna Seca Raceway, 17 Mile Drive and Monterey. Easy onsite parking and a great and attentive staff were also a big plus. Thanks for having us! We are already booked for next year!

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was spacious and quaint. We all enjoyed the basket breakfasts which were slightly different each day. The location was great and we were able to walk to shops and dinner. Also a short drive to the beach. We would definitely stay there again !
