Pine Inn - Carmel

The staff was very nice and helped me with directions to get certain areas. The room lacked a few items. No internet service. The breakfast was not opened until 7:30 when travelers may need more than a cup of coffee and muffin. No coffee makers in the rooms or microwave.

Loved the historic hotel, right on Ocean Avenue. The location is perfect - with easy access to the beach as well as shopping and dining. Our 3rd floor ocean view room had an amazing view. The attentive staff made us feel at home. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely old inn, beautifully restored and well kept. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms have been updated, but if the charm and beauty of an historic building don’t outweigh creaky floors and old woodwork, Pine Inn may not be for you. Personnel were uniformly friendly and helpful. The location is ideal: a short walk to the beach and right in the middle of shopping. There is a small first come first served hotel parking lot, but parking was easy to find on the street. This will always be my first choice in Carmel.

Oldest hotel in Carmel. Room was nicely appointed but ours was small with poor access to electrical outlets, no rm. a/c, nor elevator. Staff very friendly.

We booked the hotel through AAA travel and have stayed at this location for two other anniversary stays. We called after we got our rental vehicle at Monterey Airport and asked if our room could be ready early, on the reservation confirmation it shows our 36 Anniversary. This weekend in June is a busy one and my wife was told the room should be ready by 2pm. We parked on the street as no parking in the hotel lot. At 2pm we came to front desk was told room not ready as we watched two other get checked in no mention of anniversary at desk just we will either text or call you when room ready. We left our bags. and went and sat in shady park. At 3:45 we had not received text or call, my wife called and was advised room is ready. We checked in and guy at desk did not mention anniversary, was not apologetic when I mention to him he shrugged it off. The Bell manager and other employee witness this interaction. We love the location, we like the room we booked for 3 nights now staying one. We do not appreciate the man at reception, being so unaware that parking lot full, streets full, room not ready at 2pm, saying he would call or text right away when room ready. When we call at 3:45 room ready, no call no text no acknowledgement of anniversary The careless attitude and treatment on three separate occasions has lost you a non valued customer. Life is full of moments and memories. PS The couple in front of us at 4pm also cut their stay short!
