Had a fantastic birthday stay at La Playa! The service was top-notch, the hotel is beautiful, and the brunch was truly impressive. Loved the bar and the stunning room view. Overall, a great experience!

Stayed in September, weather was beautiful. Hotel grounds were well manicured and curated. Staff was really nice and food/drinks were super good. Great distance to downtown and beach. We had a lovely stay and will be coming back next time we are in the area!

Beautiful grounds, nice rooms, great beds and shower. Excellent breakfast. All marred by unrelenting construction noise (jack hammers, compressors, drilling, demolition noise, hammering and banging ALL DAY LONG) throughout our stay. Could not enjoy the beautiful grounds or the pool, which was the primary reason we booked the hotel. Very disappointing and sad for us given how much we had looked forward to our holiday in a beautiful hotel with beautiful grounds with a
pool. Complained to staff and got stone faced silence. No concession or even an apology.

You have to stay at this place. Staff are fantastic, food was great and their afternoon free cocktail hour in the front great room was an added surprise. Great location to walk into Carmel by the sea and the Carmel beach. Perfect.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The design is gorgeous and it's so clean and peaceful. There are so many places to just sit and enjoy the beauty of Carmel. The staff is outstanding and always there to make your stay more enjoyable. The breakfast was amazing and the staff at breakfast was so attentive and thoughful. The pool was so peaceful and such a gorgeous setting. I could go on forever. This was an anniversary trip we will remember forever. Thank you to the staff of this beautiful hotel!
