Studio 6 Carlsbad, CA

The Studio 6 hotel smells like cat and dog poop. The carpet all over the hallway is very stinky. The hallway is also musty with no ventilation. We were sweating as we walked through the very long hallway to the room that we paid an unreasonable price for.

The room smells like cat pee, there was a roach crawling on the floor. Booked for 3 nights, running out of here after one night. This is nothing close to a 3 star hotel, 1 maybe 2. No blankets on the bed, just 2 top sheets. Unsanitary and I’m not sure how they call themselves a 3 star.

If you're staying here make sure you stay here and leave everything the way it was because they like to falsely accuse you they falsely accused me and my family of doing things in this room that we did not do like smoking they said that we smoked in their room when we did not when you can't even smell smoke in their room no one smokes in their room for it is a non-smoking hotel they're appliances are outdated they're towels are not always clean when they give you towels they're stains and stuff all over them their mattresses are dirty their couches are not in order their old couches and there's holes and stains on the couches as well they have roaches and they have ants as well. Their customer service sucks on how they handle situations how can you falsely accuse someone who's paying you so much money and saying they did something that they did not do there is no evidence that shows that we did anything so I would like to get the owners information please I would love to talk to the owner on how they should do things whenever you need something no one is ever at the front desk or they're sleeping at the front desk or they're on the phone or in the bathroom for long periods of time and you can never get customer service. Sometimes they're out of certain appliances like soap for the dishes that they have and it takes three to four days because no one's ordered the soap . I feel like they need a brand new management system for the way they're managing this place it seems like they will fall shortly.

IMAGES ON THEIR WEBSITE ARE VERY MISLEADING!! Terrible experience. Reserved for soccer tournament. Looks nice in pictures, and first glance in person, but the rooms were unclean (will explain). Original room was not ready when we arrived so was given another room. Hallway carpet was filthy, which left me with a bad feeling. Walked in to the room and immediately noticed a weird smell, the carpet was dingy and discovered dead bugs around the inside of the tub (dirty as well). Shocked, but thought, ok, I already paid $150, so will just ask for another room, which they immediately accommodated (relayed the issues with the room). Walked to the 2nd room, but was unable to get in, so they reactivated the cards. Maid saw me struggling a second time and jiggled the card to make it work. Entered 2nd room and similar as first. My daughter reported a roach in the bathroom and I saw baby roaches on the dressers and walking along the floor. The shower curtains were only partially hanging correctly and the toilet paper dispenser was barely secured to the wall. I knew then that we were not going to stay. I could not imagine trying to sleep there. I did not want that for my daughter. I was so disturbed by the lack of care that I paid for another hotel 20 mins away. The staff was very friendly. If not for them, I wouldn't have given this place even 1 star...

King deluxe was very spacious and tv near bed. Also very spacious bathroom. Overall would recommend besides the few cockroaches that were in the kitchen which I did not enjoy seeing and having to unalive them. Other then that great room and near by grocery stores and restaurants are a plus.

Dont let the name and pictures fool you. This is a motel 6 with a small kitchenette. I booked this because it was close by the place my son was competing. We only came for the night. Left a little before 7am. The staff was very friendly and helpful in getting the items I requested. As soon as we walked in, near the sink was a small roach. There was a weird smell that did not get better. There was no utensils or kitchen pots. The fridge was working and there was a freezer. There was a coffee pot but no cups or sugar. There wasn't even a trash can. I took the bag for ice and used that in the bathroom. But the rest of our trash, we had to just leave in a corner. The sofa had a bunch of holes and stains. The carpet had a bunch of stains. We pulled the sofa bed mattress out and spread a sheet. The sheet on king bed was clean. I stayed on top of that. There were no blankets. I had to request a couple. They were clean. The towels were clean and the bathroom was very clean. There was a winged bug in the room. But other then that and the roach we didn't notice anything else in the room. The king mattress was horrible. It sank in really bad. did not sleep very well. And the smell kept waking me up. I tried to stay under the blanket to block out the smell. The pool area was closed, we could see it from our room and it was drained. The fitness room was closed, said out of service. The Ice machine on my floor was out of service. The little store section by the front desk counter had limited items. It's right by some train tracks, and the train passed every 20-30 minutes. It was pretty loud up until around 10p. we fell asleep with our headphones in, so I didn't notice any noise. I know nowhere is perfect, but I felt the pictures and room details really deceived me. I usually book rooms with a kitchenette when traveling with my kids. I wouldn't recommend this place or stay here again.
