This is the place!
So close to public beach access! The hotel had many included amenities like grab and go breakfast. They had beach/pool towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and hair dryers to borrow. The staff was friendly and helpful. Fire pits were lit in the early evening to enjoy.

This was our third time staying at Ocean Palms and this time we were in room 110. We are a family of five (14, 12, 8 year old). The gardens were beautiful as usual, the pool was clear, refreshing and clean, the bbq was great for gilling hot dogs for lunch, checking out boogie boards, beach chairs, sand toys, beach umbrellas and towels was so convenient. Our kids enjoyed grabbing donuts, muffins and juice each morning from the front office breakfast buffet and my husband and I enjoyed the fresh cup of coffee from the coffee machine every day. The best part is the beach is right across the street! I am a San Diego Native who grew up in SoCal and now lives in Denver, CO and Ocean Palms Beach Resort now feels like my home away from home. We are looking forward to our stay next summer 2026!

This is THE BEST place to stay in Carlsbad. Location is ideal - beach access is just across the street and 1 block the other direction is downtown (shopping, dining, nightlife). Staff is super friendly - Feels like family. Other guests all seem to be super kind, too! Grounds are kept up nicely. Not a big place, but doesn't feel crowded. Extra perks are nice too - no need to bring beach towels, beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards as hotel provides all of that at NO ADDITIONAL COST! Amenities are great- firepits, BBQ's, lounge chairs, multiple sitting areas, putting green, pool, fitness center, and more! We love this place and will continue to stay here for years! Thanks guys!

We recently stayed at Ocean Palms Beach resort in Carlsbad California. This resort is spectacular! The location is minutes from the beach and they provide beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, and boogie boards, which is so convenient. The resort is in the heart of Carlsbad Village, which has many restaurants, cafés, and boutique stores all within walking distance. The rooms are exceptionally clean, and the grounds are beautiful with palm trees, and lush gardens all around. In the evening, we sat around one of the many fire pits, which was so relaxing. But to top it off, we cannot say enough about the staff. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating, and always around to assist you. If you are ever in the area, this is definitely the place to stay!

The resort is perfectly located and the staff are all super friendly. The courtyard/garden is amazing and so relaxing. I highly recommend staying here. It is only a few steps from the beach and from the main dining/shopping district.

Great family time in Carlsbad CA at the Ocean Palms Beach Resort. We spent five nights and enjoyed every minute. The resort is very close to the beach and in the heart of Carlsbad Village. The staff is always working hard and staying on top of all aspects to make your stay is top notch. The rooms are great and we all loved the central area of gorgeous plants and tables and chairs. Thank you Barry and all the staff.

My Husband, daughter, her fiancé and I had a wonderful time staying here! There was complementary breakfast (bananas, juice, yogurt and donuts etc.) each morning until 10 am and Starbucks coffee/tea all day! The staff were very friendly and I have to mention Bo (sorry if misspelled) who was amazing! Also, after our second night we were graciously offered a room upgrade as the bigger suite with the hot tub was open. It made my 40th birthday trip so much better!! The rooms were clean and we got fresh beach towels daily. Another perk was the location which was right across from the beach and in the evenings they had fire pits in the court yard!! Although the weather was June Gloom as they call it, us Canadians loved it and cannot wait to come back!!
