Ocean Palms Beach Resort

We recently stayed at Ocean Palms Beach resort in Carlsbad California. This resort is spectacular! The location is minutes from the beach and they provide beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, and boogie boards, which is so convenient. The resort is in the heart of Carlsbad Village, which has many restaurants, cafés, and boutique stores all within walking distance. The rooms are exceptionally clean, and the grounds are beautiful with palm trees, and lush gardens all around. In the evening, we sat around one of the many fire pits, which was so relaxing. But to top it off, we cannot say enough about the staff. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating, and always around to assist you. If you are ever in the area, this is definitely the place to stay!

Tropical paradise! We spent 4 days in this well kept resort. We loved the Polynesian decor and lush tropical landscape. Nice pool, hot tub, and fire pits area. It is an older resort but meticulously kept . We upgraded our room for the jacuzzi tub and a huge shower with 3 heads. The room was perfectly appointed and very clean with a full kitchen. Very comfy bed with good bedding. We loved the beach painting on the wall over the bed and the split door that you could just open the top half for the lovely ocean breezes. We could hear the waves break at night! The neighborhood is very safe and quiet. Right across from a beautiful beach (3 flights of stairs down to it) and 1/2 a block from the downtown restaurants and shops. No need for a car though there is a small hotel parking lot and street parking all around the hotel. The morning breakfast was easy with plenty of places to sit and enjoy a Starbucks coffee or many choices of tea. There was also fresh fruit, wrapped pastries, juices and yogurt. Very friendly staff tending the front desk and housekeeping. Carlsbad is a throwback town that gives the surf vibe from days gone by! We loved it here and our stay at Ocean Palms. Aloha!

Definitley one of the coolest hotels we have ever stayed . Just across from the beach and walking distance to over 70 different resturants & Bars . Our stay was so comfortable and peaceful we will be back very soon ! Attention to detail and style in every room ..

Wonderful location, excellent staff, nice units. Great place to stay if you have young children, not so much if you are traveling as a couple. The resort surrounds a lovely common space with fire pits and tables and beautiful lush vegetation. That space acts as a bit of an echo chamber. If you are staying above the common space the noise can be grating and overwhelming at times. Select a room facing the road and you will avoid the kid noise. Can’t beat the easy access to the beach and the shops and restaurants in Carlsbad Village.

My wife and I agree that our stay at Ocean Palms was our favorite staycation ever! To the awesome front office team, the room/accommodations, the amenities, and the location, location, location!! We’ve booked the same room for next year! Mahalo Ocean Palms, Gary and Marilyn

All of the staff was amazing and very accommodating ! They went out of their way !! The hotel is beautiful , very lush and very relaxing !!! We will be back !!!
