Room was not as described as shower was over bath ie not accessible. Restaurant was cold and there was a lengthy wait for service. Breakfast was not fully equipped. Coffee machine not working, eggs and pastries not prepared had to ask twice before eggs were provided.

This hotel is in a great location for a brief stopover while travelling. There is ample parking. The reception staff are very helpful. The room was very comfortable and the bedding was immaculate. Breakfast was very good. The bar closes at around 10 pm.

Very helpful staff to my grumpy dad and he is very grateful. Very clean rooms. Will definitely stay again. Big thanks to everyone for helping my dad book online so he saved money too. Happy Christmas to all the staff and happy new year THANK YOU.

I had a meal deal on the booking but the restaurant staff said it wasn’t on their records. I showed the Manager my booking clearly stating Meal Deal. He apologised and gave me a copy of his side of the booking, and there it was in black and white…Meal Deal included. Food eventually arrived and I ordered a pint of Guinness when the starter was finished and the dish collected…And I’m still waiting now. Yes the staff appear to be very pleasant, but that doesn’t make up for the service shortfalls.

Beyond disappointed in my recent visit to the hotel. Arrived in the dark to find car park at front of hotel full. Parked at the rear of the hotel and asked the reception if this was their car park too. I was assured it was and was told to enter my registration into the machine. Guess what. I received a £60 parking charge from Premier Park who claimed I overstayed by 9 hours. I appealed to PP who upheld the charge. I approached Premier Inn to be told that THEIR car park was run by My Parking Space. I'm absolutely furious that I am not the only one to have this happen to them , as I have seen reviews to this effect. The guest relations nationally, the hotel manager and the receptionist just kept evading my question as to why do they not tell guests that the car park at the back of the hotel is privately run and is obviously making a fortune from mis informed guests. Last stay at a Premier Inn EVER.

Booked the “super room” for the better WiFi only to be told at check in it wasn’t available and to use the free one. Explained this is why I booked the better room for the better WiFi (had some work emails to do) the reply was “do you want £5 back “. Was taken aback by the attitude so went to my room. Could only get a WiFi signal if I stood near the window ! Room was ok but bed seemed smaller than usual prem in rooms. Urine was left in the toilet. Quick flush and gone Breakfast not much left on the cooked section. Waited for fresh but none appeared. Beans looked like they had been there all night and the bread was hard. They do look understaffed as one young girl was running round doing everything. Wanted to give the restaurant a second chance so went down for dinner. Lots of empty tables. Not many in the dining room at all but when approached by the waiter he couldn’t allocate me a table until 830 ! I even suggested I’d eat in the bar but was refused. I can only imagine they were letting limited number in due to being understaffed. Went to bed hungry as there are only takeaways in the immediate area. Prem in are my usual first port of call and have only ever had good experiences. This has really let you down. Am strongly considering other options for future stays as this was a waste of money.
