Russell's Motel

Russell’s is a classic motel: two one-story banks of rooms with parking spaces in front of each room. However, it was much cleaner and better tended than most motels I’ve seen, and nothing smelled musty or funky. Everything was in good condition, including an A/C unit controlled by a remote. A decorative bundle of towels on the bed and a discreet tip envelope for housekeeping indicated careful planning and extra effort. We were looking for a safe and comfortable place to spend the night while on a road trip, and Russell’s was just right.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Will for sure rebook if ever in that area again. Very pleasant staff. More like family. New beds are just right for a solid night's rest. Wonderful that they do not rest on the floor.

Stayed with a friend on a last minute snowmobile trip in March 2022. They only had the smoking room left which they let us know ahead of time. We took it because didn't have any choice as everything else was sold out in the area. Positive - the people working the office were nice and you're right on the trail system for snowmobiling so you just leave your room and head out riding. There's also a gas station is 2 miles down the trail. Negative is the motel is pretty old and rundown. There was a charter bus that stayed there both nights we were there. They started the bus up at 6:00am both mornings and left by 6:30ish. It wasn't that bad but it did make a fair amount of noise each morning.
