Civana is my new favorite resort in the greater Phoenix area! It’s beautiful, tranquil, and so many great class options in addition to the phenomenal spa services. My favorite experience was the 7am Healing Through Waters class. I also found The Manifesting Mindset to be a thoughtful and helpful class. The spa itself is so peaceful and has the best amenities. The aqua therapy circuit is amazing and the views from the pool are breathtaking.

I can’t say enough good things about Civana. Very much needed a “life time out”. The variety of classes available was extraordinarily and every single teacher/trainer I came into contact with was clearly an expert in their field. A mixture of work outs and mindful sessions depending on what you want. The early morning hikes were great too. The room was huge and felt luxurious . All of the staff were so polite and attentive. I tried everything. Extended my trip from 10 to 12 days as I couldn’t bear to leave! Incredibly reasonable prices. The restaurant is awesome and the little cafe Seeds does the most amazing smoothies and lattes. I can’t wait to come back.

Excellent, once again! I just completed my second visit to Civana and I had another wonderful experience. My first visit was in 2021 and i was anxious to see if the spa had maintained its high standards. It did not disappoint! The facilities are beautiful, the staff were very warm and engaging, and the services were top notch. I’ve visited several of the larger, well-known spas and I feel like Civana is just as nice, if not better, in a more intimate setting. My friend and I decided on the last day that we intend to make this an annual trip!

I absolutely loved the Civana Wellness Resort. Wonderful customer service in a beautiful quiet setting. They provide a fantastic offering of classes from yoga to hiking in the desert. The food at Terras is exceptional whether you are looking for vegan or meat options. My facial at the spa was also a great experience. Rooms are very spacious and tastefully appointed. I cannot wait to return and definitely will.

This was a trip with my adult daughter and it could not have been better. The staff at Civana is top-notch. Everyone went the extra mile to make our stay spectacular. The resort is stunning -- landscaped beautifully, clean rooms, and a nice overall layout. I have bad allergies so I was nervous when I read reviews that their "signature scent" is pumped throughout the resort -- NOT TRUE! They do have a very subtle signature scent in the lobby and outside in one of the dining areas. It is not present in the rooms, the spa, or the pool area and you don't even notice it unless you take a deep breath. The classes are amazing. Don't miss the morning meditation and evening "sound baths." The yoga classes were terrific. I stayed with the daily beginner classes while my daughter tried aerial yoga and also used the nice fitness center. I also took Fung Shei and Human Design just for some added fun. All of the instructors are excellent. We rented a car (highly recommend!) so we were able to avoid the high shuttle cost to/from the airport and we drove into the town for some meals (Brunch and Tonto were great restaurants). We also spent an afternoon at Talisin West, Frank Lloyd Wright's winter home which is about 25 minutes away from the resort and took a sunset horseback ride in the desert through AZ Horseback Adventures about 15 minute away. The spa is excellent! I did the Sonoran Sea Facial and Reflexology and my daughter did one of the scrubs. All were terrific. Plan to spend a day at the spa and don't miss the Relaxation Room upstairs with lounge "beds" and snacks plus a spectacular view of the mountains at sunset. We actually booked massages at the Massage Envy in Cave Creek (only $79 each versus $250+ at Civana) which was very good too! The fitness center is great for a private workout (or just to pick up some free fresh fruit and moist face cloth!). The pool is nice and warm too. Other reviewers mentioned that the music at the pool was loud - we barely heard it and it was very pleasant and relaxing. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Great stay at Civana! Took advantage of their all-inclusive package where you get a spa/massage once a night. The massages were terrific! And you get access to the entire spa if you book a massage. The staff, everyone was friendly and great! The yoga classes were relaxing - yes, it's true, some people did fall asleep and snore lol, but didn't bother me so much. There is only one restaurant, but you can go offsite and downtown Carefree is cute as they come. We biked there on there free bikes. We weren't given locks and left they out and was safe. The only thing is the food is not that great if you're a vegetarian. A lot of jackfruit options, but not much else. My friend said chicken was dry, but fish and filet mignon was good.

Beautiful resort but stop using bullhorns in the exercise classes! I was impressed with the facility and very thought out healthful menus in the restaurand, and the very nice grounds, but couldn't believe you allow Yoga and arobics. Instructors to use sound amplification in such a quiet place, ruining any kind of a setting for meditation and contemplation. And sometimes the classes were accompanied by music from speakers as well. It was so loud.It echoed off the walls and completely ruined my experience. This is a wellness resort and should not require such offensive.classes. I'm sure the participants on neaeby mats are fully capable of hearing somebody's natural voice.

Tucked away among 20 acres in the Sonoran desert is the CIVANA Wellness & Spa. Between a world class spa, wellness classes & studios, healthy cuisine and welcoming accommodations, the CIVANA offers the very best in wellness experiences. My Spa King was so delightful with walk out patio affording breathtaking views of the Continental Mountains and a beautiful bath with all the accoutrements. There are 2 on-property restaurants: the Seed, a cafe & specialty market establishment serving up breakfast items from grain bowls and smoothies to custom juice concoctions while the Terras is the signature dinner destination with the muscle of the menu illustrating items such as : Roasted Branzino, Elk Tenderloin, Sea Scallops and more. I wolfed down the Vegetable Soup and the Salmon....tasty items. Movement is upper most at the resort.........their mantra is 'a body in motion is a happy body'. Guests are invited to take advantage of more than a dozen complementary movement & fitness classes. I participated in a morning hike and a TRX training session. CIVANA's 22000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art spa offers a wide range of therapeutic and rejuvenating treatments focused on 'healing through water'. Facilities include therapy pools, 25 meter pool, sundeck, salon and more. The spa incorporates the art of 'healing through water' in a hydrotherapy circuit of hot & cold pools and cool waterfall shower. I was treated to this watery therapy prior to my Revive to Thrive Massage & Body treatment..........what a watery blast. So, if you are looking for top notch facilities that provide a healthy and serene get-away .....................then try the ................CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa...........a wellness playground resort.

I came for a solo trip at the end of March (Easter weekend) and had an amazing time! I really didn’t know what to expect and felt the resort exceeded my expectations particularly with the staff and service. I stayed 5 days and four nights which was just enough. I arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and rented a car from the airport since that was $250 vs. their one way shuttle fee of $150. Parking is free and lots of places to park. Staff was super friendly and got me situated right away. I had a king bed room near the back towards the pool in the ground floor but it was very clean, spacious and zen. I booked two classes a day a month before arriving so I got most classes I wanted to try. Once you arrive you can book as many as you want given availability. I ended up canceling classes as though classes weee interesting, I also wanted to chill and just sit at the pool! I did two spa treatments (cranial therapy which was relaxing and helped me settle my overthinking mind) and a massage on a day I knew would be windier and colder so I got to spend most of the day using their lap pool and aqua therapy circuit. I also enjoyed the cardio fitness classes and soundbaths. Most of my classes had large capacity (30-40 people) but it never felt overwhelming or crowded anywhere to me. Food wise was hit or miss. The burger at the poolside menu was my favorite item and it was so good ($26). Dinner was on the expensive side and i didn’t get any of the meat dishes since they were close to $50! I did go into town a few days for breakfast, lunch or dinner but those were also hits or misses. Overall I felt very relaxed here and I thought the staff did a great job service wise and cleanliness wise. The grounds are serene and there are so many classes it’s impossible to try them all in one visit. I heard they have different classes throughout the year depending on the season (ie kayak in summer vs spring). I would definitely return solo or with friends. The Breathwork class was also amazing (I have a hard time meditating and this helped me a lot) and you can definitely take non-meditation type classes too. Mostly adults here, some families with teens. Age limit seems to be 14 and up. It was a good mix of adults, either couples or singles or groups of friends from varying ages. I love that they give a water bottle to refill and take home with you and plenty water stations all around. Rooms also have complimentary tea and coffee. The resort is about 45 min drive to phoenix airport.
