Lovely place, I came to Cardiff for Business but the hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere, lot of open air, space to relax, all rooms in my underestanding take you directly to the open space and in covid time it is a great thing. Staff aare very helpfull, plus breakfast is great and made fresh for you, I shall definitely come back

This has to be one of the worst hotels i have stayed in, where do i start, i arrived at 13.55 , checkin 14.00 to be told come back at 14.00. little confused i was 5 minutes early anyway i stood there thinking only a few minutes, for the guy behind the counter to say to me no point i waiting there i wont see you any quicker.... so anyway 14.00 came along i said can i check in now please got given room key went to it and it reminded me of a 1960's holiday camp. room in major need of renovation i paid £80 for one night here it was not worth anywhere near that. room had not been properly cleaned. but a price list on the door say basically if they feel you make to much noise they can charge your card £150, and if your room is left a mess they can charge you a minimum of £100. ive never seen this before. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR AND BOOK ELSE WEAR

Beware this hotel and the rude man on reception!!! I am aware of the non smoking policy in the hotel and smoked outside but have had £100 taken off my card for traces of rolling tobacco in my room!! Having rung Derek/Eric for explanation was told the cleaner found traces of cigarettes in room and that was enough reason for the charge!! So this was a very expensive stay in a hotel which was more like a 50’s chalet camp with paint peeling off rotten balcony’s….rooms which on first appearance seemed clean but stench of damp when first entering room was over-powering….no tea/coffe facility’s except your given a paper cup on arrival with a few satches of cheap coffee!!! A really rundown basic grovel….much nicer places locally to stay….don’t waste your hard earned money on this hole!!

This hotel can only be described as chalets on a camp site. The rooms was very dated and cold . Only a wall heater which I had to keep on all day , everyday for the week I was there . Only stayed here for the price . I’ve used this chain of hotels lots of times and this is by far the worst one yet . The bathroom is a waste of time . The bath is to small and the shower as no power . You may as well just turn them into a shower room . The full hotel needs modernising . Bring it upto todays standards . Never used any of there facilities . But it looked empty .

I would seriously think you’ve done something wrong in life if you have to stay here. It’s the most dreadful appalling hole that is more of a punishment to stay rather than a necessity. On checking in I was asked if I wanted tea/coffee in my room & was given a paper cup with 2 tea bags & sachets of milk which did not bode well. On entering the shabby, hideous compartment they called a room it was freezing cold. If you’ve got guests coming don’t you ensure the room is warm & you’re not freezing your whatsits off. The room had no redeeming features & had a feel of grubbiness & seediness. One did not want to spend any more time in it than totally necessary. The outside spoke for itself in a state of general disrepair, unkept with shabby signage. They even had a poster in reception of where other Campaniles were located in case one wanted to relive the experience as if staying once was not punishment enough. BTW I did not book this as it was booked by a third party for work. WARNING: avoid this dirty hole at all costs. Sleep in your car instead, it’ll be more comfortable & clean. DO NOT STAY HERE if you know what’s good for you.

Travelled over 6 hours to arrive at the hotel we booked as it also had a restaurant, to be greeted by a staff member with a lack of people skills saying"what do you want". When trying to book a table at the restaurant to be told it hadn't been open for 6 months was not acceptable, especially when the website and app doesn't tell you this. When we highlighted this we were told it wasn't "their problem" and there was a chip shop in town. Not what we wanted to hear after a 6 hour journey. The exterior of the hotel and car park were unkempt, as were the communal areas. The room was only just ok, bath towels appeared soiled and the shower was less than useless with little water pressure. We could go on and on but the main message is to avoid this hotel.
