Hotel idéalement situé au coeur de la ville intra muros. Service voiturier tres efficace. En revanche la chambre est vieillotte et l'ensemble a besoin d'un coup de frais. La salle de bains basique et la douche sans pression rend la toilette pas très agréable. Petit déjeuner correct. Plutôt un 3* .... Trop cher pour la qualité de cet hébergement.

Hôtel au cœur de la Cité de Carcassonne, très agréable. Acceuil également agréable et pro, chambre très propre, petit déjeuner avec un choix de qualité et diversifié. Hôtel très pratique pour les balades à pied dans la cité. Séjour au Top ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

We stayed at the hotel for the small family reunion trip in June 2025. Incredible place right in the center of medieval town. Incredible breakfast, beautiful peaceful inner garden, amazing helpful personnel! We loved the place and can’t recommend it more!!!

Wonderful town to walk around! Hotel Donjon perfectly situated, good breakfast. Great restaurants in the old city. Being there after the tourists leave in the evening is a special treat. Tourist center offers informative tours on history. Great to walk the ramparts at your own pace, but LOTS of stairs!

Great location, close to the castle and ramparts. The parking is outside the city walls and the ride in via electric car is great. Be aware Google maps tried to direct us the wrong way up a one way street as we approached the car park. Unfortunately check in is 4pm and we arrived early at 3.30. We dropped our bags and were told to return at 4pm which we did but the room was still not ready until 4.30pm... Our room was adequate, comfortable, but a little tired.

Chose Le Donjon for the location--in the middle of the walled medieval city--and it proved to be a good base from which to explore. Room was cozy, bed comfortable and view from the window enchanting. Initially parked on the street below and walked hundreds of stairs up into the city; had we made advance inquiry, we would have parked in reserved hotel parking lot with front door valet service for us and our luggage. Glad we visited in April--can only image what the crowds must be like in summer.

L’emplacement est idéal et le service voiturier parfait mais nous avons payé 245 € pour une chambre sans décoration avec vue sur les toits, chambre si petite qu’il fallait enjamber notre valise pour faire le tour du lit. Le petit déjeuner est digne d’un trois étoiles même si pour un français, il est suffisant.

Cet hôtel n'a que deux atouts : sa situation centrale et le charme des communs. Cela dit, il s'agit du pire hôtel de notre circuit. L'accueil de la femme à la réception est d'une grande froideur. Le barman, après avoir aperçu notre arrivée (vers 21H00), quitte son poste définitivement sans une explication (nous sommes donc allés boire un dernier verre à l'extérieur). La chambre ("supérieure" !) est datée et digne d'un deux étoiles. De plus, il y a plusieurs moisissures dans la salle de bains dont le plafond est par ailleurs en mauvais état. Les seuls membres du personnel à la hauteur sont les dames du petit déjeuner et les chauffeurs bagagistes (Enzo et Benoît, sauf erreur).

This hotel was very fun in that it was located within the walls of Carcasonne. The many tourists disappeared in the evening and the town became quiet and beautiful!
