Staying at Luna Lodge was a life-changing experience. My niece and I visited for 5 nights and 6 days. We were looking for adventure, yoga, living in a natural environment, and relaxation, and we received it all. Lana was a fantastic host, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. We stayed in a villa with gorgeous views. Waking up to the rainforest sounds and doing yoga on the platform overlooking the jungle and the Pacific was magical. We had massages, Reiki, tarot card readings, hiked in Corcovado, and kayaked in a lagoon, and had so much fun. I cannot wait to return for a more extended stay. Thank you Lana and the Luna Staff.

If you decide to go with the glamping option, know that for the (shocking) price you are going to be staying in a vinyl tent with no furniture, that is decidedly rustic. The room rates are too high for this option. There will be mildew (note to the sensitive). This is an ultra basic platform tent, and the 'colonial design' touted on the main website is nonexistent re: these tents. In fact, practical design is no part of this room type, few hooks, no benches, your stuff will be on the floor or bed or in the bathroom. We struggled to find the value for what was supposedly GLAM-ping. The staff were helpful enough, but once you’ve made it out here, and are committed to the tent lodging, the hospitality team isn’t flexible. They will not be willing to shift accommodations or refund you. One can find better rustic accommodations throughout the area easily. Book yourself somewhere else (for a quarter of the price!!!!). Also, the beach is not close and petty theft at nearby beaches is an issue.

I can’t say enough good things about Luna Lodge. The owner Lana’s love and care for this place just shines from the moment you arrive and throughout the stay. This is remote and in the middle of the jungle - waking up in the morning while the forest wakes up is insane!!! There are howler monkeys, spider monkeys, coatis, morpho butterflies, hummingbirds, toucans and macaws, and the list goes on and on. The yoga shala is calm and serene, the food is nourishing and delicious, the accommodations comfortable and seamlessly blend with the outdoors. If you like to be in remote locations where the howling of monkeys and bird song is your alarm clock … come here!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Being one with nature, disconnecting from the world was truly meaningful. From staff to owner, everyone was so kind. Food: five stars. Bar: 5 star. Room: We had the honeymoon bungalow 5 stars. Tour guid: Andreas was really good and passionate. We drove there, and it was such a scenic drive. Lots of hikes, animals, birds.. just perfect!

Peaceful, exotic, and gracious, Luna Lodge was everything I had hoped while packing. The view of the jungle from our bungalow changed throughout the day as the angle of the light and clouds across blue skies did their magic. The jungle sounds of cicadas, Howler monkeys and more enlivened each day. Hiking in the jungle and swimming in the pool provided life-giving recreation. Meals were nutritious, delicious, and beautifully presented. My cousin and I especially appreciated the spa. A magnificent vacation all around.

The food was excellent, the staff were not only kind but knew our names right away and responded to every request promptly, and the masseurs were beyond experienced. The breeze up above the forest was always refreshing, and our bungalow was clean and tranquil. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable - including the taxi drivers -- about the wildlife we might encounter. This is not a traditional hotel, but an outdoor oasis sheltered by deep roofs and the Osa forest nearby. Sustainable practices are explained and sensible. We enjoyed our stay.
