Really nice hotel just feet from beach. Highly recommend them to anyone staying in the area. Hotel staff were great, very personable and were helpful with recommendations on restaurants and even mailed me my sunglasses that were left behind. If you’re looking for somewhere nice to stay in Capitola or Santa Cruz, this is the place! Will be back for sure with the Family.

Cozy stay in the heart of Capitola.
Although our stay was on the second floor and I have limited mobility we managed to get everything situated and did enjoy our stay. All except for the six-legged invaders who decided to visit us during the evening. Just had to make sure that no food was left out. Biggest detractor was not having a microwave available.
Stay was nice but stairs would be a concern to stay again (no elevator).

Capitola Hotel is a hidden little gem for ua.
Trip was for our 20 yr Anniversary and the staff was amazing Jessica is so awesome arranged for our taxi to Shadowbrook and any questions we had either her or Mark were there to answer

Ocean Breeze the Grand Caymen Room
Our stay was Amazing, Phenomenal and Excellent due to the Staff: Julie, Jessica, Haley and Mark what an exceptional team, just awesome level of Customer Service!! The Hotel was spotless clean and the Grand Caymen Room made such a perfect stay, having our Hot Coffee in the Morning Outside the front door of the room in a Private Patio, Yes, Wow Amazing with the Sun warming you up in the coolness of the Ocean Breeze!!

First stay in Capitola, and I won't bother to look at other hotels when I return, because the Capitola Hotel was exactly what I like- small, independently owned, pretty, and has breakfast. Great location. Not a huge breakfast in the morning (my husband probably would not be satisfied with the choices), but I loved it. All the offerings were high quality brands, down to the honey available for tea and coffee. Beds were on the better side for a hotel, but I'm also very critical of beds...if it's not memory foam, I'm achy in the morning. The bath products smell amazing- their "signature blend." Staff were all friendly. Just an all around great stay.

The staff was excellent and made arrangement for my handicap quite quickly. They also made sure we were safe crossing the street when on our way to dinner.
