Disgraceful that you are being charged R150 per person entrance fee to then go and spend money in the farm shop or the restaurants / spa / hotel with no offer of the fee being deducted I saw lots of people turning away, what is your reason for such a high fee ? Used to be R10 pp and it went to a local charity , no other wine farm / destination in the area charges an entrance, pure greed

A lovely tranquil setting.. the wine tasting was lovely but very busy and not so personalised. Leroy was informative. Beautiful grounds and farm shop. Jesse on entrance duties was so lovely.. He informed us of an affiliated location called Newt in UK and helped us enjoy another part of our honeymoon..

The farm is a magical place and I've enjoyed every solo and friend trip there, from the food, to the staff, everything is great, my review however is on your amazing delivery service!! I placed my order via the app late yesterday afternoon, and my fresh goods are already delivered. I am so super impressed, from the tracking, to the communication texts, to knowing the timeframe of the delivery made things so much easier. The delivery guy, Grant, was friendly yet professional on the phone, and was very accommodating. Thank you so much and well done for making the customer experience as lovely as a farm visit!

What a beautiful farm and hotel! We stayed for just 2 nights on our garden route holiday but wished we’d stayed 3 nights! The gardens are stunning, food totally amazing and the staff lovely and accommodating! It appears that most of the staff have worked there for years which in itself speaks volumes! The cottage we stayed in was fabulous with everything you needed to make our stay comfortable. We were also given vouchers to use in the scented room to make face masks or body rubs etc as it was my birthday! If you get a chance please go!! An experience we certainly won’t forget!

Our stay at Babylonstoren was top-notch from start to finish. There aren’t many places we’ve stayed that truly took our breath away, but this place is something else. We were fortunate enough to stay here during our honeymoon, and the property itself was first class. The accommodation had everything you could ever want during a cold winter storm: heated floors throughout, a fully stocked kitchen for cozy nights in, a huge bed with hot water bottles during turn down, and of course, the open fire in the lounge area. The attention to detail, often overlooked by many properties, was the guiding star at Babylonstoren. To list all the positives, we would honestly be here all day. The food and hospitality were 10/10 overall. Breakfast each day was the best we’ve ever had, featuring a huge spread of local produce with cooked options to order. The on-site dining at the two restaurants was also top quality. Finally, the experiences included within our stay added to the great value. We participated in bread making and wine tasting, and also enjoyed treatments at the five-star spa. Overall, we would recommend this to anyone and will definitely be coming back again in the future. Unbelievable hotel and farm. We stayed here for a couple of nights in May to close out our honeymoon. It was definitely romantic. The farm cottages are so comfortable and have killer views, but you won't even spend that much time inside honestly since there's so much stuff to see and taste around the farm and it's easy to get around with the complementary bikes and golf carts. Only suggestion is to book your spa appointments well in advance--I guess it's very popular and they were fully booked when we contacted them about 7 days before arrival.

Fantastische Anlage, fantastisches Essen, fantastisches Personal - alles super. Wirklich ein Erlebnis für die ganze Familie. Buchen und geniessen!! Wir waren drei Tage / Nächte und haben jeden Tag genossen, der Garten ist alleine schon ein Highlight.

We had a most gourmet dinner at Babel Restaurant in Babylonstoren in Franschoek - Cape Town - South Africa. The entire food experience and wine pairing was exquisite and excellent price / quality. We were further enchanted by the friendly, charming and knowledgeable reception from our host Muranda. Muranda pampered us and ensured we had a memorable experience. Definitely a Memory we will treasure and go back to!

Best gourmet experience in South Africa! Babel Restaurant is fabulous and our hostess, Muranda, made everything beyond our expectations. Her knowledge of the menu and attention to details was superb. Highly recommended place! We would love to return!
