Perfect for a 3 night trip to Cape Town with my daughter. We had an upper balcony room with an amazing view of Table Mountain, Memory was very helpful and always around to answer questions. Room was very comfortable with shower pressure. Breakfast was plentiful and offered many choices including fresh omelettes and french toast. Location is on a very quiet street but is close to many restaurants as well as beaches. We never had to wait more than 3 minutes when ordering an Uber. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the pool/garden area each afternoon before dinner. We would stay here again.

A small (14 rooms or so) and charming hotel formed of two houses providing a unique boutique experience, tucked under the majestic Table Mountain. Spacious and eclectically-designed shared spaces to relax in along with an honesty bar, as well as a plunge pool area with sun loungers. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, with a helpful and friendly team on hand to offer advice. It offers a truly authentic experience as an alternative to sterile hotel alternatives.

The staff here are so friendly and helpful and Rita the chef runs a great kitchen! The hotel is fine, in a residential area, maybe needs a slight refurbishment but otherwise great, hence 4 stars rather than 5. I had a room with great views to table mountain. Plenty of restaurants to walk to, and very easy getting a taxi anywhere. Highly recommend eating at The Black Sheep, 5 min walk away.

Beautiful place to stay in a great area close to excellent restaurants in Kloof street . Memory made us so welcome and all the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms comfortable with stunning view of Table Mountain. Breakfasts excellent and snacks free during the afternoon with an honesty bar for drinks . Smart, comfortable but also relaxed atmosphere, would totally recommend.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Das gesamte Team, insbesondere Prince, Memory und Sidney, ist extrem freundlich, hilfreich, hochkompetent und professionell. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Insgesamt herrscht hier eine ganz besonders warmherzige, fröhliche Atmosphäre! Sehr empfehlenswert!

If you want to stay in a really nice neighbourhood, surrounded by Cape-towns best restaurants, with staff that absolutely love you because you’ve chosen to stay at their place of work, this place is for you. We loved it, them, the breakfasts, the beds, the decor and the whole laid back ambience. Prince and his team, are just the most generous hearted people. I thought Kiwis were the friendliest people on Gods Earth but the South Africans we have met, are right up alongside with them. Beautifully clean establishment, nothing is too much trouble for their guests. Thank you, beautiful people xxx

Heerlijke Lokatie dicht bij centrum. Uitstekende kamers van alles voorzien. Ontbijt is heerlijk en de warme keuken ‘s ochtends een feestje. Prince is een zeer gastvrije host. Zijn staf is super vriendelijk. Al met al een plek om naar terug te gaan.

We spent 2 nights at Welgelegen House. Memory and the team, made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The room and ensuite were clean, comfortable and it felt like home from home. The breakfast was very good, starting early to allow for guest to get an early start on seeing the sights of Cape Town. We spent an evening in the lounge, the honesty bar was much appreciated. I would go back there, when I visited Cape Town again.
