This guesthouse has a perfect location with walking distance to Waterfront, Waterkant and the seaside boardwalk. The view from the terraces are amazing and if you choose one of the Kingsize bedrooms you have direct access to the pool area. The owner is very welcoming, service minded and always available. Breakfast had good choices and was served a la carte. The only small negative thing was that the rooms was not very isolated from sounds from outside the room.

Sehr schöne uns sichere Lage mit Aussicht auf Kapstadt. Nette Zimmer, sehr freundliche Bedienung, keiner Pool mit Aussicht. Wegen der Hanglage viele Treppen, für Leute mit Gehbehinderung deshalb leider nur eingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Wir waren zum 2. Mal da, haben die Entscheidung nicht bereut.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Bluegum Hill Guesthouse. We stayed in the penthouse apartment, and the view over the city, the beautiful decor, and the thoughtful details made us want to stay longer and come back in the future. We’re especially grateful to Aissa, who dedicated a lot of time to giving us recommendations and sharing her knowledge. She made our stay truly unique and memorable. The breakfast was also terrific, featuring fresh local fruit, yogurt, and a wide selection of freshly prepared dishes. :)

Loved out stay at this guesthouse! Both sisters who run it are so warm and welcoming and helpful with trip planning. The house is nicely decorated with a amazing view! The staff was also so nice and we had the most delicious breakfast out on the terrace. Would highly recommend!

Great accommodation with lovely little pool and waterfront views! Only 10-15 minutes by rental car or taxi to get there or Table Mountain. Very nice, courteous and planning-supportive hosts with good tips. Because of the low season we had free choice of rooms and got a larger room

A very nice, family-run accommodation with wonderful hosts. Beautiful terrace with a great view towards the waterfront, where we also had breakfast. We ate the pizza we ordered in the beautiful living room on the first evening and then enjoyed the terrace at night. We could take various drinks from the fridge at any time and pay for them later or put a few things in there. The rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed it all around.

We had the pleasure of staying a few nights at this beautiful location. a beautiful high situated, quiet, very pleasant place, overlooking down town Cape Town and parking in front of the door, but with the always available Ubers very easy to move around the entire area. an very tasty breakfast served by very pleasant people, led by Aissa and under the watchful eye of the oh-so-friendly Tully, the four-legged friend. We enjoyed it, thank you again.

Bluegum Hill is situated in a pristine spot in Greenpoint overlooking the harbour, Robben Island and the Greenpoint stadium, the views are absolutely breathtaking at sunrise and sunset. Over and above this the establishment is beautifully well kept and maintained and the hosts are amazing. The breakfast is definitely one for champions and there is plenty to go around. This place is perfect for a work visit stopover as well as for those visiting the Mother City for extended stays. you can go wrong with Buegum Hill.

This is a really good and friendly guesthouse. The view, breakfast and owner support are all great. Aissa and staff provided a warm welcome and Aissa was very helpful in providing us with info about Cape Town and South Africa generally. Terrace with pool and great view, and a well-stocked and reasonably priced honesty fridge/bar. Secure parking (road guard nearby). Lots of steps, particularly if your room is on the lowest floor, so a consideration if you have heavy suitcases although assistance was offered. Possible to walk down to the waterfront if not too hot but a steep uphill trek back! We used Ubers which are plentiful and low cost. Our double bed was a queen as opposed to king/super king. Larger rooms may have kings. Would we stay there again? Yes, definitely.
