Cape Grace, A Fairmont Managed Hotel

My wife and I enjoyed a six day stay before and during our wonderful Tauck tour Elegant Adventure. The hotel facilities and staff were every bit as comfortable and welcoming as we could have hoped. I particularly want to compliment concierge Matshediso (Tshidi) who, along with help from chauffeur Trevor and doorman Eric, arranged for us to ship some of our material purchases home. They constructed a properly sized box, packed our stuff into it, sealed it and marked it fragile, talked us through the necessary forms, and set up package pickup on the day we left for delivery to our home after we return, repeatedly reassuring us that all would be well in their (clearly very capable) hands.

Excellent location, outstanding staff, hotel restaurant top notch. Very safe area, easy walking to local artisan and crafts folk marketplace, waterfront restaurants and shopping. Hotel room very well appointed. Upon check-in, make sure that the energy efficiency timer for your room/s are disabled (having the lights go out when you are in the room and moving around is surprising).

The backstop view is the iconic Table Mountain. There is also a great view from the front of the hotel over the harbour. Location is central, but nicely away from the busier parts of the V&A Waterfront. We loved the characterful building, and the colonial vibe decor. Warm welcome and great service. Highly recommended!

My family and I had a wonderful stay here at the Cape Grace Hotel (July 2024). I would rate it 10 stars if I could! I will highly recommend this hotel to all my family and friends if taking a trip to Cape Town, South Africa. The staff and accomodations were outstanding! The rooms were large and beautifully decorated and the bed and linens were so comfortable and soft! The bathroom was large and had everything we needed such as: lotion, shampoo, conditioner, soap, cotton balls, Q-tips, heated towels, hair dryer and magnifying mirror! The lobby, restaurants and bars were gorgeous and I especially loved all the fresh flower arrangements throughout the hotel and room. The hotel was in close walking distance to shopping and restaurants! We will definitely stay here again!

This beautifully renovated hotel has been a treat! Our spacious room with French doors overlooking the yacht harbor and Table Mountain is elegant and oh so comfortable for our three night stay. The staff are formal and yet so very helpful and kind. Lizka at the front desk has been a rich source of information and recommendations. We turn to her each day for her friendly face, banter and advice on where to go and even what shoes to wear! In the dining room the staff are attentive and sensitive to our quiet moments and the times we are ready to happily chat. Both Joanne and Sievewe made our day with their impeccable manners and happy conversation after our first cup of coffee! The food has all been delicious. We would love to come again and recommended Cape Grace to friends.

We recently (and sadly) departed the Cape Grace hotel after a four night stay. Our experience was exemplary. The facility (which was recently renovated) was absolutely first-rate. The room was spacious, the decor tasteful, and the view captivating. Our experience was enhanced by the most wonderful staff. We must give a particular shoutout to the concierge, Aidan, who helped us in so many ways, and our breakfast server, Siviwe. The hostess at the restaurant, Bulelwa, was also extremely welcoming. To say that they made us feel like special guests hardly conveys the warmth, enthusiasm and professionalism they exhibited. We have stayed at many five star hotels over the years. The combination of the facilities at the Cape Grace and the incredible staff made our stay memorable. And to be welcomed back each time we returned to the hotel by everyone telling us “welcome home” was the icing on the cake.

The Cape Grace is a beautiful hotel in a great location. My family and I stayed there for three nights at the tail end of a 15 day trip to Africa. The food, service, and staff were all impeccable. The rooms are large and the views of Table Mountain from our room were spectacular. We LOVED the bathrooms! The hotel provided car service was invaluable when it came to getting our group safely to/from dinners and the coordination with our travel agency and tour guides was perfect. I'd definitely stay here again.

We've traveled extensively, and very rarely do you find a hotel that meets (and exceeds) your expectations in all areas. The Cape Grace does just that, from your welcome at the front door to the easy check-in, the fantastic room quality/space, and the staff are genuine/caring. Our experience at Cape Grace was further enhanced by the impeccable Room Service and SPA facilities. Both services were flawless, adding to the overall perfection of our stay. The value here is in the staff and attention to detail. They don't miss anything.

Beautiful hotel easy walking distance to the shopping complex. Check in was easy and all of the employees are very friendly. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Would stay here when we come back. Breakfast in the restaurant was well presented and great tasting.
