My most favourite place to take my children. Such a beautiful location, friendly staff, great pool with slides, stunning beach and walks. There is no where else like it.

An early start, but absolutely worth it for this magical experience. Cherene was a fantastic guide—calm, capable, and safely navigated us through dense fog to our destination. Thoughtful touches like blankets and neck pillows made the journey extra comfortable. We arrived just in time for sunrise on a cloudy morning and were greeted by kangaroos and wallabies, some with joeys nestled in their pouches, peacefully roaming the beach. The photos came out brilliantly. Cherene shared interesting insights throughout the morning, striking a perfect balance between informative and relaxed. The ranger ensured respectful wildlife viewing, reminding everyone to keep their distance and switch off camera flashes to avoid startling the animals. Afterward, we had the option to walk up to the lookout or simply enjoy more time with the kangaroos on the beach. Breakfast was a lovely way to wrap up the morning. With just eight of us on the tour, it felt personal —and the cost was more than justified by the experience. This tour would suit anyone who loves kangaroos.

Early morning on the beach with sunrise over Wedge Island and wallabies gathering for food. Worth the early trip to the end of the road. Later back to Seaforth for best coffee at The Pitt Stop Classic Cafe. Then up the Pioneer Valley to Eungella National Park with Platypus at Broken River. Lunch at Broken River , The Chalet at the top of the range or Eden on the old Diggings Road. Great day out from anywhere in Mackay area

I’d love to give a higher rating, but at one point I thought I’d have to leave early. The location is superb but the refurbished older cabins are just so noisy! Through the very thin walls you can hear the neighbours’ showers running, toilets flushing, cupboard doors closing loudly, dishes being washed up, conversations, screen doors banging and so on. It was idyllic when we were the only residents in the block of 5 units. Next time I’d book one of the free standing cabins. The older cabins are overpriced.

The newer rooms are good to stay in. Only downside is that they don’t have aircon in main bedroom for adults

Everything was wonderful! The cabin was recently updated and very modern and clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed all of the facilities the park had to offer. The cafe at reception was great and sold a good range of food and other convenient holiday items. The kids really enjoyed spotting all of the wildlife around the park and even woke up early to go and see the wallabies gather on the beach. Will definitely return.
