After the fact, in reviewing other sites for this Hotel, it is clear that this establishment has a substantial problem with making threats and blaming guests, hateful staff, and Derick, GM. What happened to me was something I had never encountered before in all my travels, including hotels and B&Bs I have stayed in around the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, and South America. It is the worst customer abuse from a business that I have ever experienced. The incident was outright harassment, as the young so-called manager berated me over and over, on the phone and in person. The staff is inexperienced (in terms of age and professionalism) compared to the other places I stay in the area. The Hotel is noisy due to unruly customers and is unkempt on the outside, particularly in terms of its sparse grounds, which include landscaping that is on its last leg and overgrown weeds. The windows are also leaky old plastic and usually do not close, letting in sound and cold air in the winter. Unfortunately, this complaint is very lengthy, with details, dates, times, and images, but there is no room here. As they say, with this Hotel, you get what you pay for. Lesson learned! When I arrived they had cancelled my reservation, even tho I had paid in advance and had a confirmation number. Said that they had over booked. No rooms were available and it took about 2hours to find a room. I was unable to stay with the rest of my family. We will be coming at least five more during football season, but won't be staying with you. I can't take the chance of not having a room when I get there.
