Fairfield Inn & Suites Cape Coral/North Fort Myers

I stayed at Fairfield Inn & Suites Cape Coral/North Fort Myers from June 13 to 16, 2025, under two separate reservations due to an extended business trip. 🔹 The good: The hotel itself is well-designed and very clean. The building is new and well-maintained. In terms of hardware and cleanliness, I would rate it 5 stars. 🔻 The bad (and unacceptable): 1. Rude front desk staff – Ashley At check-in, I wasn’t asked about my Platinum Elite welcome gift (points vs. market item), and when I inquired, the front desk staff named Ashley responded with a rude, condescending attitude. Instead of helping, she lectured me as if I had made a mistake for using mobile check-in. Even worse, my colleague who checked out the next day also had a negative interaction with the same staff member. This is not the level of service expected from a Marriott property. 2. Housekeeping failed to clean my room Even after I personally reminded the housekeeping team in the hallway to clean my room on day 3, they confirmed they would — but when I returned at night, the room was untouched. This was extremely disappointing. 3. Noise issues & poor soundproofing I had to request a room change due to a neighboring room blasting their TV. Front desk agent Bonnie was friendly and helped move me to a different room (Room 131), but unfortunately the new room had even worse noise from the adjacent room. I didn’t have the energy to move again and ended up sleeping terribly. Overall, this hotel suffers from severe service and staff attitude issues, especially at the front desk. It’s a shame, because the building is new and well-maintained. But after this experience, I will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone — especially Marriott Bonvoy members who expect their status to be recognized and respected.

Yes, it’s clean. But it needs cleaning in hard to see areas. And who thought up the toilet paper holders? Instead of a roller, there are two little tabs on either side to hold the paper. It’s just about impossible for the paper to dispense easily. We just took the rolls off. The person at the desk, housekeeping, and the team that puts the breakfasts together were all very nice and accommodating. Not having an in room Safe was very annoying. Housekeeping is every other day. In a humid environment, the towels won’t dry well and no one wants to grab a damp towel coming out of the shower. Also, please wash the towels in hot water and add some Oxy Clean along with the detergent. The wash rag had someone else’s body odor on it. Getting away to me means there will be someone else making the bed and cleaning the room which to me is worth every bit of the generous daily tip we leave. Also, It would help to have a wall mounted, lighted magnifying mirror next to the sink in the bathroom. Btw, the dark roast coffee was delicious. We only stayed two nights. It was comfortable.

This property was super convenient to our stay in the area. The hotel was clean, the staff was helpful, friendly and efficient. We only had the pleasure of one night but looking forward to going back.
