We visited this resort on a beautiful weather day for a lovely lunch gathering with friends. It is an expansive space with a bright and inviting type of elegance and charm. As we sat at our table in the outdoor restaurant area, we were amazed to realize how perfectly situated it is. It receives an unbelievable, constant, and refreshing breeze. In my observation, there was nothing that gave hints of the dissaray of recent extensive renovations and ownership change that had occurred within the previous 90 days ... not the quality of service from the kitchen or wait staff, the calm atmosphere, the beautiful appearance of the setting. The menu featured traditional Ghanian and a variety of dishes, such as seafood, pizza, kabobs, and other crowd pleasers. We each were very pleased with our meals. There was nothing to not admire about this place! Even the restrooms were spacious, well supplied, and immaculate. I highly recommend this establishment! I see it becoming a fast fan favorite as it continues to provide an upscale setting with amazing vibes, favorful food, and attentive service. You must check it out, and don't forget that there is also a hotel.

DO NOT GO HERE. The food is so bad, I don't know how they charge what they do for the bad food. And when we were in the town the locals kept telling us the manager abused a tourist in the town and told us to avoid the place for safety. We then felt unsafe and cant say you shoul go here the locals kno what they are doing. When the town tell you to avoid a place you have to listen.

Absolutely amazing. This place is so good I had to leave a second review. Even though they’re remodeling from the hurricane, the peace and quiet I enjoy is second to none. It’s the safest I’ve felt since I had to leave my home, and management is on top of every single issue. Which by the way there’s barely any issues. I recommend this place over any other place in the beach everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Allie and let me tell you. Class act! Thank you Oasis for being my home away from home.

We had booked Oasis Beach well in advance and had even extended our booking for an additional day only two days before the resort cancelled our booking due to renevation work (note, not emergency repair work). I understand that renevation work is important, but this should be factored into booking availablity not just cancel people at the last moment. It has affected our plans at Cape Coast as other accommodation were fully booked with such short notice. Poor service.

Whilst there's room for improvement, this is a good choice of accommodation in Cape Coast. The bar restaurant is very pleasant to relax in. Food was very good though service was terrible. They'd leave you sitting there for ages with the menu. Or just walk past when you wanted to order. Slightly surprising at a foreign owned place where one might expect the standard to be higher. Beach area is beautiful, nice seating area out on the rocks. A great spot to sit in the evening with a view of the castle. I stayed in two of the upstairs rooms with a balcony. I couldn't lock the balcony door of the first one, this was a real security concern as it wouldn't have been that hard to climb up to the balcony. The second one had a shower in the room by the window. This might be a nice idea in a more deserted area. But not here in Cape Coast where everyone stares at you all the time. You have to turn off the lights and shower in the dark in the evening, unless you wanna put on a show for everyone on the beach. The shower blocked and was filling up with water. They fixed it but the problem reoccurred a day or so later. Everything was a little run down and could do with refurbishment. Cape Coast was probably my favourite and least favourite place in Ghana. The problem here is the begging that has come as a result of all the tourism. Not people who are actually starving but kids and young men who will plague you constantly during your stay, asking for money or for you to buy them something. I wasn't even safe on my balcony. Many (but not all) locals you meet in the restaurant bar at Oasis may be friendly but are looking to rinse you 'Buy me phone credit, Buy me a beer' etc. No where else that I went on my travels in Ghana, Togo and Benin was like this. People were just interested in me and most of the time were not looking to get something from me. It's not nice to feel like a walking dollar.

My stay at Basis Beach Resort in Capecoast, Ghana was a mixed experience. Here are the positives and negatives I would like to note: Positives: The resort's grounds are very nicely designed and offer a relaxed atmosphere. The views from the grounds are simply breathtaking, especially at sunset. The location of the resort is excellent as it is right next to the Castle, making it central in Capecoast. The resort has a great restaurant with a friendly and attentive waitress who makes you feel comfortable. Negatives: There are significant differences between the rooms, so I recommend choosing the highest price category to avoid disappointment. The mosquito nets in the rooms were often broken, which can lead to uncomfortable nights. In some rooms, there were problems with the refrigerator, which even caused electric shocks, which is a serious safety risk. Overall, I would recommend Basis Beach Resort in Capecoast for a short stay of 1-2 nights or for travelers on a budget. Despite some shortcomings, it offers a good way to experience the beauty of Capecoast as long as you are aware of your room selection and are prepared for potential problems. I was there with my family (6 people).

I was there several times (many times) in my last vacation, the attention of the owner is absolutely surprising, special treatment to each client, the food was super tasty, especially Red Red, I loved it, the landscape, dreamlike and lastly and For me the best: Sankara, the best massages anyone can imagine, chakra synchronization, use of hammers, stones, herbal masks, tea, and much more.
